It's not a matter of "more of the same." It's a matter of next to no effort being put into the game because people will buy the game anyway and just praise it as being so amazing when it's usually just mediocre at best.
Hey at least they put the effort into making a campaign that yes, is different from previous CoD campaigns. They also tweaked a few things like BFB mentioned earlier. Also, what? Fan reception for this game is generally mediocre at best. Haven't you been paying attention? Look up metacritic user reviews. The CoD community in general isn't praising it as being amazing.
I know you're just making a point, but I think even that only really applies to Mega Man, since that was like what Capcom is doing to Street Fighter today only on a smaller scale. (。◡ °)
Not quite. Street Fighter updates are just that, updates. Not seperate games. Each Mega Man entry was a different game. Different bosses to fight. Different level design. Different mechanics. You have to see where I'm going with this. It isn't difficult. Equating Modern Warfare 3 to say, Super Street Fighter IV, is pretty difficult considering not just the genre barrier but the fact that MW3 offers far more content than SSFIV does when compared to their previous entries

Maybe it's unfair that there is no dedicated CoD discussion thread (as far as I know) so why not go make an official one in Console Gaming or wherever?

See, people get excited about Pokemon... IN FUCKING POKEMON DISCUSSION BOARDS ON A FORUM. You don't see stories on the news about people stealing a Pokemon game, because let's face it. It's not that hyped in public. More people are excited for new CoD games than new Pokemon games. So you really can't make any claim about us discussing something in a place dedicated solely to discussing it. I see people talking about CoD EVERY FUCKING DAY. To the point where I'm intercourse ing tired of hearing it every time I walk in a hallway at a school or wherever. So yes, CoD fans talk the living poop out of their games.

You don't see people walking down the street talking about playing Pokemon seven hours per night.

I've been there too and no one knew what the intercourse  they were talking about.

I pretty much only ever go to Serebii when a new game is coming out, since they're fairly good with breaking news and stuff.
