Sad day, but I knew when Nintendo gave it up to future that its days were numbered. Surprised it lasted this long.

Ahhh...I do remember being an avid reader.  It was the magazine that helped hype me up for Metroid Prime 3, that's for sure.

Ahhhh...quite unfortunate...but with how things were becoming these days, it's not a huge surprise, as you said.

They actually were, sometimes companies announced games/first screenshots through them. Epic Mickey and several Castlevania games spring to mind.

I had a feeling this was impending once Future US got ahold of it.

I was thinking about that a couple weeks ago wondering what the content was like nowadays and then I heard that bit of news

I saw this coming, but had been subscribed since I was a kid. I want to say my first issue was 137.
So I've been subscribed for 105 months, or 8.75 years.

It's a huge bummer for me to see this go, even though I wasn't digging it as much after Future took over.
