honestly i haven't tried monster unless its in a mix drink. Monster makes vodka taste waaaay better.

my biggest beef with energy drinks is how sweet they are. I had a Venom Black Mamba last week and god I felt my teeth starting to rot. On top of being sweet they taste awful, which is something that is difficult to achieve. Sweet usually means good. I don't know how they manage to do it but they do it.

Also I've had Rockstar. Those are pretty awful too.

not an energy drink fan at all. Just don't love the feeling of putting something like that into my body (just unnecessary sweetness IMO, which I'm not too crazy about) plus they don't taste good enough to be worth it

This. I had Monster once, tasted like liquid rock candy.

I get my caffeine from soda and chocolatey and/or carmally coffee beverages. Not yet at the level where I can enjoy coffee without lots of chocolate or caramel, but I'm getting there, and a good mocha or frap is pretty tasty anyway.
