So I'm going to Comic-Con again this year. This time, TWO days! I have a full time job, so all the days is out of the question. But it doesn't matter much, 'cause I go for FREE! All I gotta do is Volunteer for about an hour each day I go, then I can do ANYTHING I want.
But anyway, I doubt any of you will, but is anyone else going?
I have a kickass idea for a costume, and it's almost complete. I just need a couple more things and then I will have it SET!

Already in another board but whatever.

There's so much cool stuff that is exclusive there that I want to get. I'll just have to wait until they sell it online after the con ends.

Other than that, really excited for some of the announcements. What do you have to do when you volunteer, anyway?

Last year, a friend asked all over Facebook, "WHO WANTS TO BE ABLE TO GO TO COMIC CON FOR FREE WITH ME?!" and he's kinda the outcast of the group, like, friends with everybody, but hangs out with none of them. Regardless, I thought, "hey, why not?" I was the only person that did this.
He had me fill out some online form on their website... at his house (I think he wanted to show his family that he has friends?), very simple form, I don't remember how to get there though. It was like, 2 or 3 months before the con though. When I filled it out, I had PLANNED on going 2 days, but work said "oh, we have something on Saturday too" which is rare, but it's a bigger priority.
Because I showed up and did a good job, they invited me to volunteer again through email. I was very lucky to have been looking at my email at the right time, because I get a poop ton of pointless spam. But regardless, I said yes, and now I can go any of the days that I want.
The friend I'm talking about actually got to go Monday and help set everything up, he got to see a lot of stuff that he's not allowed to leak or take pictures of. Fairly interesting. He wanted me to go, but work is a much bigger priority than working for nothing and then spending money on cool stuff, and then seeing leaks for things I'm probably not interested in, or don't need to know 3 days earlier than everyone else.

tl;dr I don't actually know. It's on their website somewhere. I don't know if there's a window of time that you have to do it, but it's a form on their website, and I did it 2-3 months before the convention.

Con is boring and usually sucks, outside of a rare trailer for something.

IGN Exclusive: "Hey, here's 15 minutes of footage that we saw... but you can't see it, so we'll vaguely describe half of it now and half of it 4 months from now. Also: things you can't buy, people you can't meet in person, and a tiny bit of old news regarding actual comics."

E3 is at least a show and can therefore be watched, but a Convention is nothing when you can't convene, and every year when the big Cons roll around it's like all the coverage is just people describing to you how fun a theme park was, as if any of it is accessible or even interesting to anyone besides the people who were there.

Hope you're having fun, though, Jr.

I had a BLAST!
I did what you asked Tupin.

But anyway, at the end of Saturday, there was a party called "Masquerade Ball"
...None wore Masquerade Masks, and it was nothing like a "Ball," but there was dancing and partying!
Who knew nerds knew how to party?
Well... probably not them, but because they're around a crowd like them, they don't feel as pressured. I mean, there's a Zombie Pikachu over there, and a Shirtless Adventure Time guy over there, what makes you think you'll look stupid now?

Anyway, the party was probably the highlight of the Whole Convention.
I danced with a bunch of people.
I had a dance-off with Scorpion wearing an Ducky Inner Tube (he had a Sub-Zero friend wearing an inner tube too, but he didn't dance-off with me). I danced with a bunch of random girls.
A few of them had the wrong idea of me dancing with them. I just wanted a basic dance, but when I danced with some of them, when I lifted my arm to turn them, they turned... half way, and started rubbing up against me, doing the grinding dance you see all those vagina cleaning devicebags do... I had no complaints, the few I that did that were hot, and it was fun... but not my intention. I danced with not-so-hot girls too, but none of them grinned. But the highlight was when I got people to dance in the Dance Circle (where dance-offs happened), and a group of friends that included an Ash Ketchum (had the jacket, but no shirt on under it...), a couple random girls, and a girl in a wheel chair. That girl was awesome, had just as much energy as everyone else. I danced with all of them, including the girl in a wheel chair, who kissed me on the cheek (during a song that implied romance, the DJ said to kiss the person you came with, though I didn't come with her, she was nearby, I gave her a side hug [we had danced earlier that night], and she kissed me on the cheek, I kissed her right back [on the cheek]).
I even danced with the shirtless Ash, who turned me a poop ton, made me super dizzy, and almost made me lose my pass because I span so much. Cool part about the spin is that when he lost his grip and I just span away, RIGHT when I stopped is when the music stopped PERIOD. Like, no more music, party was over.
It was cool.

Though that was just a couple of hours of Day 1.
Day 2 consisted of a lot more people asking to take my picture, which made my ego happy.
