does it use wifi? i want a new game thats challenging, has a good story, and has good online play.

Online play is a 1 vs. 1 game where one person is Link and other controls monsters.  I don't have the game so I can't go into detail, but the people on Phantom Hourglass board can probably do that.

Yes it does, you take turns being Link or the monsters and you have to grab gems and bring them to your "zone" while the monsters(other player) try to slash you down.
