What are the star things right before your screen name?

...I think they're a secondary ranking system. More posts=more stars

Well thats stupid because I've seen people with only 9000 post and they have all 5 stars and then you go see someone who is a plumber and they have just the same amount.

They are just another way of showing rank. They aren't a seperate system: They are directly connected to our regular ranks. They show how high up you are for those unfamiliar with the system

The stars only reflect how high you are in the normal ranking system. :P They mean nothing special really. :P
