Well, most of the time stages are banned for three reasons.

A physical barrier that incites camping, a layout that incites a game out cat and mouse and randomness that can severely hurt a player that just so happens to get unlucky.

Pokemon Staduim and Rainbow Cruise weren't banned, hell, they were on the random selection for the first match (Rainbow Cruise got changed to being a counter pick later on, lol), and Pokefloats wasn't banned. Rainbow Cruise and Pokefloats are the same thing every time, so they're ok. I guess all the forms of Pokemon Stadium are alright because they don't excessively harm any certain character (except Fox can infinite off the walls), but usually if it's a form with a wall, they just camp until it changes anyway.

So it's not events in general that get a stage banned, it's random events that do them in.

Mabye the chicken has a tiny little button on its back and there is a little chimera that turns it back on if someone turns it off :O
