I think it would be neat, but a stage based off of Sonic Adventure 2 seems more likely. Unless you try to pull off the bonus stage in SA2:B, I don't really see it happening.

In my opinion, that's actually the most likely thing to be a stage for Sonic. It is the location with the most importance on the storyline of Sonic Adventure 2.
