So uh, I played the Song of Storms in Ocarina of Time, and it started raining in real life.

I think you should give the Song of Time a shot and see where that leads ya.

Maybe if he plays the Minuet of Forest, he'll be transported inside the game!   :silverD:

If he plays Epona's Song, will a horse crash through his door?

Hey Mack, you've played the Layton games, so maybe you can tell me.

Are the first two worth hunting down?

Kyle MacKinnon review scores for Prof Layton games:

1. 10/10

=> shared with Metroid Prime Trilogy, Ultimate Spider-Man: Total Mayhem, and Resident Evil 4 (Wii Edition)

2. 9/10

=> I'M ON A TRAIN MOTHERFUCKER...worth it yes, but disappointing

3. 9.5/10

=> Doesn't quite recapture the magic of the first, but has great mechanical additions

As a whole, I'd go buy the games. Although, be careful, as retailers are actually charging the same for the first ones as they are the newest. Layton's that loved.

Wow, retailers are still charging full price for a game that was released two years ago? That's pretty steep.

It came from Nintendo, if I recall correctly. A drop naturally occurred as the first game was being phased out (so on and so forth). After how well the second game did, and Layton entering the mainstream more and more, they re-distributed the game (and currently distribute all three, if I'm not mistaken) pushing it back up to retail value.

See: Brawl.

I still can't get it for less than 40 bucks.
