Also, while the newest season does look better than past seasons, I'm not sure if I'll watch it, and if I do it will definitely be in the dub.

I heard this too, though I'm not gonna spoil it. I'll wait until the game comes out here.
But looking at the past generations, the story definitely get's more in depth with each one. I mean

Gen 1. Get badges, battle rival, collect 'em all, etc. while Team Rocket gets in the way.
Gen 2. Same as above, but you got a pair of towers that hold legends of a small handful of legendary pokemon
Gen 3. Now the villainous teams (2 this time) are trying to capture the superpowerful pokemon to make drastic changes to the world and make it their own.
Gen 4. The villainous team wants to use the powers of the new superpowerful pokemon to rule... the universe?
Gen 5. MORE?

Hopefully it'll be better than the past few. Not that the stories were bad, it just didn't seem like they were enough at some times.
