bomb threats

there was a bomb threat at my school today right before chem ended... (why couldn't they have made the threat an hour earlier so i would have missed that class instead of the next one which is infinitely more fun? :|)

they made a 5 minute announcement, then told us to go to a church just down the road.

yes, our school division is that moronic.  first they take their time telling us to evacuate, then they tell the potential bombers EXACTLY WHERE WE'RE HEADED.

WTF.

Anyways, they herded us into the church and made us sit there for 80 minutes in complete lockdown (ironically, people could enter, but not leave).

then they told us to go to our next period class.

same thing happened last week friday, except at the end of the day.


Our divison is run by a bunch of morons.  Safe to say, if you're going to tell people that you're going to bomb something, you're not going to do it.  what's the point of trying to kill people if you tell the people to leave first? :|

no, we don't...  but nobody is allowed to walk the halls unless they're going somewhere, we're not allowed to use the front entrance during lunch hour (an intruder wouldn't use the front anyways, and its not like the teachers guarding it are armed or anything :|), we have a resident police officer, a couple security cameras, and though you can go around without a hall pass, you can't visit your locker in the middle of the day without being harassed by some teacher asking where you should be.

It just seems like you have administration problems.... Besides, Intruder Drills should be required by law. What state do you live in?
