I picked up OS X's latest update a few hours ago, and so far I've been extremely impressed.

Things I like:
- Everything is faster. Apps launch faster, and Spotlight in particular (OS X's indexed search feature) is instantaneous. The top hit is also now always an app, instead of "Show All..." which makes app launching a .5 second process.

- Safari. FINALLY, A BUILD THAT WORKS. The final version of Safari 3 is blazing fast, and stable from what I've experienced so far. No more Safari 2 crashing five times a day or Safari 3 Beta deleting system files.  :robotveryhappy:

- Video clips in Photo Booth. With the awesome video backgrounds. Just fun to play with, and useful for quick vlogging.

- Webclip custom widgets. I made one of the "News Feed" thing when I login to Facebook, and e-gold's current gold prices.

- Stacks and Spaces. Both incredibly convenient ways to boost productivity. I've got Documents, Downloads, and Pictures (my most frequently visited folders) stacked in my dock. And Spaces is great for putting web development stuff in one Space, video editing in another, and Safari/iTunes/Adium in another. Especially with my little 15" screen, it makes everything much less cluttered.

- Finder. This is probably my favorite besides Safari... the new iTunes-like sidebar is much better, the look is better (no more brushed metal anywhere in the OS), and coverflow is actually pretty useful for flipping through stuff, as well as very good looking. :P

- OH, QUICK LOOK. Forgot about that. One of my least favorite things about Tiger was having to launch Preview to just look at a photo. Now you just hit space bar and it pops up, full size, without pause. Same with text documents, pdf's, anything... I don't really get how that works, but it's awesome.

Things I don't really have an opinion on yet:
- Mail. I've hardly used it since I upgraded, but the Notes and To-Do features seem nice.

- Time Machine. I can't wait to start using this, as I've definitely had times where I've accidentally deleted stuff I've later needed. I just don't have an extra external drive to use at the moment.

- iChat. I used it briefly, and tabbed chat is definitely an improvement, and the new video chat stuff is nice, but I just like Adium more. Mostly for the ability to switch tabs with Command+arrow keys.

Overall, this update gets a solid 10/10. I really can't find anything I dislike about it... the only thing I can think of is the new menu bar, which just looks a little different. I liked it better before. The transparency doesn't irritate me nearly as much as I thought it would, but I think it's just because of my current desktop background.

Of course, this isn't nearly everything that Leopard advertises, but I've hardly gotten past the main features, and I'm sure I'll notice lots of little things that I like (or dislike, I guess) as I keep using it.

Leopard is another reason for me to get a Mac

Vista and OS X are two different things.  Windows was made for buisness

Although Microsoft succeed in making a more stable OS, Mac is just better for regular users.  I mean, heck, Mac can do buisness too

...

if only I could afford it :(

I'd only get a Mac if someone gave it to me. My philosophy about anything Apple. ;D

Call me cheap, but I think Apple overprices their crap something terrible.

I just really, really hate how Apple hyped Spaces as something revolutionary, when it's something Linux and the BSD's (the latter of which Mac OS is based off of) have had for years.

I don't recall anything revolutionary in Vista, nor Microsoft claiming as such.
