You can redownload anything you've already bought. Just go to the wii shop channel, go to MK64, and it'll say "download". It won't let you right now because it's already on, but otherwise you'd be able to download.

So far you can play any VC game that is out right now with the Gamecube controller, it's just that the button layout makes it hard to play some SNES games with it.
