and i believe those are wiimote jackets.. there suppose to prevent you from ruining your tv

Yes they are Wii Remote Jackets you can order them for free here: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/jacket/jacketrequest.jsp
You need your Wii's serial number and you can order up to 4 of them.  I would personally recommend ordering them they add a good grip and a little more bulk to the Remote giving you a better handle on it.
