I'd only get an updated version if it came with a hard drive.

and thats only if the hard drive didn't sell seperately from the old one.

yeah, the rumor up comes from time to time, but is it really gonna happen? it was quite a while ago since i last heard the rumor.

If the only change is CD music/DVD video playing, then I won't buy it at all. I have my computer, which is the perfect DVD player for me.

I have a CD player. I have two DVD players, one of which is a DVDRW. No reason to upgrade :P
