What do you think the coins are used for?

In the classic update they say the coins are used for something. I think they will be used to slot machine trophies like in SSBM :)

your thoughts?

but it did say that use dont use them to shop. it has to be for something but what....?

Using that gum ball machine for example wouldn't be shopping. It's all Random. :P

Where you can buy new items, trophies, new alt. costumes, etc.

No, no. You earn and save these up little by little as you play. And supposedly you can use them somewhere. But no—you don't use them to shop.

It's probably gonna be used to get random trophies or stickers, like in SSBM.

That, or there's an arcade with NES games or something similar that you pay for with coins. But that may or may not count as shopping.
