TextEdit is OS X's version of Notepad (more like WordPad, actually), which has received some features with Leopard that I am appreciating very much... for instance, headers/footers, which means I can now completely abandon Pages and MS Word (neither of which I like much) for school papers. I also just discovered that it automatically loads unsaved documents if it gets closed accidentally. Very nice.

What's your text editor of choice?

MSWord, only because it's basically the only thing I use.

On my computer I only have Notepad, I despise it.  ::)

Though TextEdit sounds nice, hopefully I can purchase a Mac soon.

I like it too. Being a quick text/HTML editor it does have its limitations but I find that its great for writing out school reports and such.

Since I do mostly coding with NOTEPAD, NOTEPAD is my editor of choice. BTW, Microsoft Word is a Word Processor, not a Text Editor.

Taco HTML Edit is by far and away the best HTML (and any web-development language, actually) editor I've ever used. Check it out.

I've used it before, but overall I prefer Textedit for its simplicity. If I was more into web design I'm sure I'd use it more, though.
