He is wanting to step down from running NS2 so he can continue to create other communities, and he wanted to know what the NS2 nsiders thought, that's basically what he wrote in a thread he made. And in another thread shortly after he was asking if NS2 nsiders would be open to a merge and if they thought it was a good idea.

There are so many things about this sentence that make me lol.  Let's break it down shall we?

bob should run NS2

He can't keep any community he runs alive, much like GCF.  He's one of the pooptiest admins I've ever seen.  While N2 is poopty, not even those folks deserve him in charge.

He has friends?  Since when?

It won't be when he's through with it.

And the idea of there being a successful merge between here and there is ludicrous.  There is too vast a difference between the staff and userbase of each forum to make a merge seem even remotely reasonable.
