I wouldn't agree. I'd say outside of the internet mainstream rap is praised by the majority of people because mainstream rap is mainstream, and therefore caters to/is made popular by a majority of people. There's plenty of people who dislike it, though. The same applies on the internet, but to varying degrees in different places.
