It's because record labels have money to keep their songs on the radio and prevent other stuff from being played.


If some one is online, they have much better chances of hearing rap that isn't poop.

Its funny how true that it is. My ears started to die I swear when this girl put on this mainstream rap compilation on a school bus ride.

Never before had I heard so many rapes, acts of drug abuse and "caps unloaded" as I did that day. I really despise most popular rap. The intelligent yet more unpopular rap I actually don't mind.

Here waaaay south where I live, it's praised by pretty much everybody, especially people with black skin. Seriously, any black person that doesn't like rap here is automatically considered a social outcast just from that.
