Has Nintendo EVER released a demo disc?

I just got a magazine where there's not a Wii Demo Disc, but a Wii DVD. Instead of giving demoes, they gave us minutes of footage from already released games. :| Couldn't they be using those same discs to give us demoes? They say it's so hard to distribute those things, but there's one on every Gameinformer in America!

I guess they figure the people who bought their refrigerator-like gaming system don't want things that will increase hype even more and make them buy the game.

There was a demo disc that came with MK: DD.

The mario kart for the Game cube had a demo disk.
Also i remember this game which was 4 demos.
