Swords are cooler than guns by far, even though the latter kills you faster~

Sword. Vileslay, to be exact.

As the blank canvas is filled with infinite possibilities, so too is the sword.

Gun.
They're cleaner/ more efficient , just as cool imo, and shooting stuff is more fun than cutting stuff in most cases.

Guns don't take expertise.  You don't prove anything by shooting besides your impatience.

A swordfight, on the other hand, is a test of skill, and if you succeed at your mortal endeavor, it's because of your awesomeness, not because you can just pull a trigger and aim something in the right direction.

I also believe that just severely injuring someone is enough punishment...gunshots are much more fatal, which is no fun.  What are you proving if you can't rub it in the other person's face later?

If you cut somebody ...say across there face... that SCAR will be with them
until they die... or practically anywhere else on the body.

That is pretty brutal.

If we are doing some kind of cool video game style battle, then I would pick sword.

Not true. Any gun takes a lot more skill to shoot accurately in most cases. There's also sniping which takes intelligence, patience, and a whole lot of skill.

Gunfights take a heck of a lot of strategy. Sword fights are awesome no matter what, but gun fights can be just as much of a test of skills.

I can think of many, many ways of severely injuring someone with a gun while still letting them live to 'rub' it in their faces. :P

I was more talking about formal duels in this case, but yes yes I play TF2.  Even so, I don't like the shady strategy and stuff that is in modern warfare.  Just freaking duke it out in an open field.

Yes, let's throw thousands of years of warfare experience and advanced technology down the drain to fight in an open field.

There's no honor in killing anyone anymore, so you might as well kill them in the cheapest and sneaky way possible.

But it also depends on the sword.  If it's small or thin enough, it probably isn't going to help you.

But it is a good thought, nevertheless.

I say swords simply because I just don't like guns.  Plus I've always wanted to give fencing a go.

Swords:
They can be used time over time over time and you don't need to waste space buying ammo, because swords need no ammo. :P

Gun that shoots swords is still better.

Swords are better, cause almost anyone can use a gun, it takes true skill to use a sword and its many skills, only skill you need to master with a gun is aim...

(I'm mainly talking about a rifle/ sniper rifle since they're popular.)
Aim, recoil (depending on gun), wind, elevation, moving targets add more challenge, something as small as pulling the trigger incorrectly can screw your shot, humidity can screw a shot, staying calm/ not flinching.
There's a lot more things that go into shooting a rifle than aiming and pulling a trigger.
We all could argue by saying "Anyone can pull a trigger" or "Anyone can swing a sword", buy my point is both weapons take equal amounts of skill. Swords take a lot more hand-eye coordination; long range shooting takes more mental skill.

:D

I like to look at our old friend Indiana Jones for the answer to this.
*big strong arabian knight wielding big ass sword appears*
*pulls out gun...BAM!*
problem solved  ;D

and the boulder chase wasn't suposed to happen either, they thought of it the last minute because they couldn't think of anything else to throw at him during the exit sequence

In my opinion, guns are way cooler than any darn sword! ;)

I mean think about it, there is a gun that call blow a person in half from over a mile away! Tell me thats not badass!

And there is no real sword that causes an explosion everytime it is swung (and, no gasoline or any fire starter is in the area)

I just realized something...

Guns are for Rednecks, Military and Terminators.

Swords are for all ages. =D

So if your not a Redneck, a Soldier or a Robotic Menace trying to kill John Connor, go throw your gun away. >_>

Dam right! Just like swords are for geeks and losers who think they'd be awesome wielding a sword because it's shown in a lot of anime shows.  :D Stereotypes are fun.
Stupid censor.

...The poll asks in its poor grammar and capitalization "which do like more", not which do you use or want to use...
...Also, just mark leave words uncensored in your profile to make the bad words go away...
