Hm, has anybody tried PM'ing Admins and asking them about a newer NS or about why they closed the old one? ????

Wouldn't be worth it; you'd just get some ambiguous macro'd answer that the consumer service people use.

"Today has been another day filled with good questions, good answers and some helpful feedback. Thanks to all of you for being so passionate about our Forums.

These Tech Support Forums are still quite new, so we're all likely to experience a few bumps in the road as we pave the way to this new world. All of your questions will be answered in good time, and the rules will become clearer, if they are not already.

Pretty soon more and more people are going to come looking for tech support here on these forums. Someone who wasn't a part of the NSider world is going to need help with a router, or understanding which way to load a disc into their Wii for the very first time. That's where you come in. You have that knowledge that all these new people are thirsting for.

The Forums have been set to read-only again for tonight; they will be back up tomorrow.

Here are some key points to keep in mind when you're on the Tech Support Forums:
1. This isn't meant to be a replacement for NSider. Chat threads, game discussions and general comments are not allowed if they aren't solving a technical problem with one of our products.

2. Tech Support means you should only be posting questions if you're having trouble with Nintendo software and hardware. If someone else has posted a question, and you have a possible answer, please post it. I see some of you have posted those questions, and we hope you're finding the answers you're looking for.

3. And, as always, general rules still apply here: play nice, no name calling, and, above all, continue to use these forums with the Terms of Service in mind. We all agreed to these terms, so let's keep this place a safe and happy home to all users.

I checked it out.

Apparently, they don't allow sigs, BUT there is a sig option.

Strange.

Oh well,  it's nice I guess, I made a post, and it got replies instantly. Kinda shocking.
