How well known? Kirby or Sonic?

Alright so who do you think is more well known Kirby or Sonic? Do NOT base it off which one is your favorite but who do you think would be more well known if there was a poll where random people wehre asked.

Um, Sonic, by far. His games have pretty much always been far more popular, and he's whored out a lot more to general audiences. Kirby is an icon generally only recognized by people who play video games a lot, whereas even a lot of non-gamers know who Sonic is these days.

Kirby is just for Nintendo.

sonic, duh. nobody really knows kirby, plus sonic is more advertised and crap. any old gamer played sonic, but few played kirby.

Ummm I agree like 100%, really there may be more Sonic games but it definatly isn't a better selling franchise then Kirby
