Olimar... YOU MUST RECOVER!

This has got to be the worst recovery move ever created...

He can be totally destroyed with little or no effort if you can catch him without pikmin.

It all depends. If you have a few, your fine. Did you see the nice range for the 6? And assuming he has a jump, it should be fine. I can agree, though. 50% or up and no pikmin is begging to be bullied.

I remember in the japanese Brawl Commercials there was a clip of yoshi doing the air kick thing... but different from melee

  Anyways I think Olimar is a great addition to the game because he involves some strategy, no button mashers can play as him.  I don't think the recovery was too bad, cause it would just be common sense to have pikmin with you at all times

That's why it takes practice.  There's six.  You have to be a total moron to constantly use the Pikmin without replenishing.
