this is how the cousin thing works:

my sibling is my brother.  obvious.

my dad's sibling's son is my cousin.

my grandfather's sibling's son's son is my second cousin.

my great grandfather's sibling's son's son's son is my third cousin.


now, to compare this in a situation that actually works,

my great grandfather's brother had a son who had a daughter, who is my friend, and is my third aunt (if she had kids, they would be my third cousin), and is also younger than me. :P

Because they all think my step-mom is a gold digger, and that she was trying to dictate her life.  Which she isn't, and she wasn't.  We went to go visit her last night, and I went into the room and told her that my step-mom was in the Hallway, and asked if she could come in.  My friend said "I don't want her in here."

SO my step-mom is completely done with her, and it's intercourse ed up because she did A LOT for my friend.  And my dad's intercourse ing mad about this, so he's not going.
