What a stupid reason. Recycling isn't even worth the trouble.

I could say something, but then I would be stating the obvious.

What? Go ahead and try to say something.

We're so worried about using energy, yet we waste it by recycling things that cost more to recycle than to produce new versions of (except for aluminum). We've been told bulls*** about landfills being horrible, yet it's been proven consistently that they're perfectly sanitary. Hell, they get converted into beautiful golf courses once they're filled. Landfills will run out? Er, no. The amount of land we've used so far is amazingly minuscule. We won't "run out" of landfill space for ages upon ages, and guess what? There will be new land to use by that time as old landfills degrade.

Recycling is a loss. It's a waste of both energy and money. And by the way, if you're so worried about the environment, talk to the people at recycling plants and find out what sort of emissions are being shot up into the air from those plants.

Yeah, we can just cut down more rainforests to make room :)

Every time we cut down a tree, normally we'll plant one. We aren't cutting them down fast enough to destroy other-than-human life.

Paper and lumber companies buy acres of land just to grow trees on.
