They aren't recyclable? It's intercourse ing plastic, it can be melted can't it? What's in it that makes it not?
Chemicals.

Besides, it's not like paper. Plastic cannot afford to lose any of its qualities like paper does.

If something can be melted, that means it's recyclable?

Doesn't that make everything recyclable?

What a stupid reason. Recycling isn't even worth the trouble.

I could say something, but then I would be stating the obvious.

What? Go ahead and try to say something.

We're so worried about using energy, yet we waste it by recycling things that cost more to recycle than to produce new versions of (except for aluminum). We've been told bullpoop about landfills being horrible, yet it's been proven consistently that they're perfectly sanitary. Hell, they get converted into beautiful golf courses once they're filled. Landfills will run out? Er, no. The amount of land we've used so far is amazingly minuscule. We won't "run out" of landfill space for ages upon ages, and guess what? There will be new land to use by that time as old landfills degrade.

Recycling is a loss. It's a waste of both energy and money. And by the way, if you're so worried about the environment, talk to the people at recycling plants and find out what sort of emissions are being shot up into the air from those plants.
Yeah, we can just cut down more rainforests to make room :)
I hope you're joking.

Every time we cut down a tree, normally we'll plant one. We aren't cutting them down fast enough to destroy other-than-human life.

We actually plant more than we cut down, so we're gaining forests. Pretty cool, I must say.

I could care less, but you can get paid for recycling, and that way they can manufacture less cans and crap.

And then by doing that to get paid, you help our government to spend even more money and energy on wasteful procedures, thus stifling the economy's growth.

Great job! ^__^

FYI, don't you find it ironic that recycling bins are made out of plastic?  :D

I do not recycle, the only two things that should be recycled are metal and paper.

You say that recycling isn't a big deal, yet you make a big deal out of recycling?

Can I hear irony?

Also, I'd rather my money be in the hands of our government than most others.

That's me. :D ^

...that's not irony, that's just you making a stupid irrelevant correlation.

I make a big deal about it because it's retarded, and such widespread stupidity is a big problem.

Have you ever heard of tree farms?

Paper and lumber companies buy acres of land just to grow trees on.
