The Phantom of Maple Circle [Mystery RP]

Upstairs were five restaurants. The North side had a Subway, the East side had a Chinese place, the West side had a Mexican place, the South side had an Italian restaurant, while in the center was an American fast food restaurant. A few people were eating there as well.

A bald man sat at the center, eating a cheeseburger, while many guests staying at the Hotel were eating all around.

Nick first noted the chinese place and went there and got his favorite combination, orange chicken and fried rice. He started shovelling it down since he hadn't eaten all day.

"If it wasn't obvious before, it is now," Jake mumbled as he noticed Russell giving Nick a side glance. "Hey Russ," Jake greeted, giving his bald friend a wave.

Russell Pool was a voluntarily bald man with light blue eyes. He walked over to Nick and Jake with his burger and gave Jake a friendly pat on the back.

"Hey man, how's business?" Russell asked.

Nick had almost already finished his food and started to slow down as he listened to the conversation. Hm...so Jake runs a buisness.

"Actually," Jake replied to Russell, "I've got some news for you." He took Russell a couple feet away from Nick, but still close enough so he could hear.

"Someone broke into my shop," Jake whispered to him.

"What? That's horrible man," Russell replied.

"It's not that bad," Jake assured, "they just stole a bat and possibly a few other things."

"Hopefully it won't affect business for you."

"Nah, nah... They pickpocketed my door. I'm just going to buy a better lock. But, since you run a bank..." Jake trailed off.

"Oh, yeah, thanks for telling me," Russell thanked. "I'll definitely look out for any theives."

"Good man," Jake replied, giving his friend a fist bump before returning back to Nick. Russell gave Nick and Jake a wave before leaving Freddy's store, as he had finished his burger. Jake checked his watch.

"Oh man!" he exclaimed, seeing it was nearly midnight. "I better go! It'll be tomorrow soon. See you later, kid."

"Alright. See ya." Nick said to Jake before finally finishing his food and getting up to leave. Wow. Midnight. The time sure does tend to fly.

"Mary is a little uncertain about this, last I checked." Mira said, seeing how far he would get playing his game.

"But did you score me the girl?" Zach asked again. "Give me one date with her, and I can change that uncertainty. Tomorrow at noon, have her meet me at the Lake." After that, Zachary skated off again, probably either to cause trouble or retire to his home.

Dammit! Very well, I can work with this. Mira went back to the hotel. "So what were you saying?" Mira asked Mary.

Mary yawned and stretched out. She checked her watch and replied, "Well, what I'm saying now is that it is half past midnight. I'm off to bed, and I'm locking up the Hotel. If you need to get back out or in, your room key can also be used to open the main doors." Then, Mary got up, locked the Hotel, and headed to her temporary room, 002. Before walking inside she added, "I suggest you get some rest as well. You have a lot of work tomorrow." Then, she walked inside and closed the door behind her.

She has a point, however, that wasn't what she was saying before. Either way, I'm to tired to press that fact. Mira went to his room and fell asleep. About 5 minutes before he fell asleep, he remembered something. He wrote of a little note about the current deal with the date and a reminder of how important this might be. He then went to where he saw her go and slipped the note under her door, went back to his room, then fell asleep.

The time is now 2 AM.

The Phantom walked through town, coming from somewhere out from the fields. The Phantom wore a black suit, a black cape, and a white mask over its face. Walking slowly and swiftly, the Phantom made it to one of the homes. It used a knife to unlock a window and climb inside.

From outside, all that could be heard was a sudden high pitched scream, then all was dead silent.

Time is now 9 AM.

Mary had found the note and read it, now she sat at her desk, talking in whispers with Tom.

"We'll have to tell the 'Detectives'," Tom decided.

"No, let them sleep!" Mary argued. "I'll make sure to give them the message when they come out." Just then, a red faced Mayor came bursting into Maple Hotel.

"Where the hell are those darn detectives!?" he shouted angrily, spewing spit as he spoke.
