suppose I was a fanboy, doesn't change what Windows does, like formatting both hard drives since it thought it had to put a boot loader in place of Linux and all of my data. I do have a topic of what happened in detail.

1. You are obviously a fanboy.

2. Windows doesn't format a hard drive unless you don't know what you're doing. (Such as installing a second operating system on a Windows computer)

3. If you knew what you were doing, you would've known that there was a good chance that installing linux could delete your data. EDIT: As Silver said, OPSHIONS.

YOU LOSE. Good day sir.

I did not miss read, because I'm not stupid, and it was for from Linux's fault
You obviously did or you wouldn't have this problem.
no, I know why it happened, but I didn't expect it to happen...

When I was installing windows I told it to Format the one hard drive. With Windows being Windows it had to have a boot loader on the other HDD, but because it couldn't read the other HDD so it went and formatted it.
So you told it to format the hard drive and it did.

You've got to be the smartest person I know.
You have to be the dumbest person I know.

Me: Format HDD2
Windows: FORMATTING HDD 1!!!!
Hold on. So you're saying that there was an option to select which hard drive to format? If that's true, you shouldn't have a problem.
EXACTLY! But Windows thought it knew better so it had to format the other HDD for its boot loader...so wtf was the point of selecting which HDD to format is beyond me....

So you didn't bother to back up your old data just in case? Sounds like it's still your fault to me.

That's me. :D ^

I did back it up....but the back up I had on CD Windows decided it wasn't aloud to open the backup files, so I have to use Linux of course to get to those files.
