This is why I learned how to run at speeds of up to 122 mph.

do you carry a flux capacitor on you?
How can he generate the necessary 1.21 Gigawatts just by running?

by the friction created with the shoes against the pavement, the gravity from in his shoes when they're falling to the ground, the arm pumping, and heat from the sun magnified.

And if you need gas, just get a bean burrito.

Why can't we use Alaska again?
Liberals. Who are backed by environmentalists, who wouldn't let us drill if the fate of humanity was at stake.
Do you seriously think oil would save humanity from any form of crisis? -_-"

Oil will not save us. Oil it hurting humanity deeply. I think we need to stop using oil all together with in the next 40 or 50 years and start doing it now. We need to consider the effects we have on our planet that will come back to bite us. We could have this problem solved by now if the oil and automobile company did not kill the eclectic car or if the oil company's did not kill  a water power car. Or maybe if GM worried about whats will happen 6 years down the line in stead of 6 month and did not stop producing electric cars or destroyed the one out there maybe we would have some better options right now.

Not going to happen. There are billions of cars on the road (possible exaggeration), and 99% of them run on gas. There's no way we'll ever be able to convert them all to electric, and think about airplanes and ships. Electric engines sure as hell won't work as their main propulsion systems, unless they make ultra-powerful energy cells in the future.

Revolution, I don't think you understand economics. You live in the US. You base things on the market economy. Supply and Demand. Laissez Faire.

Therefore, if people get off their asses, and stop driving as much, or demand that hybrids becomes available to them, the large companies have no choice but to comply, or they die. It is simple economics, and maybe it is because I am a tried and true capitalist, but that's how things work. Hence GM, for instance, closing down four truck plants in the last little while (well, announcing their closure.)

Things balance out by voting with your dollar. By not supporting oil, you support the end of using it. By buying plastics, or driving a vehicle, you have no right to ninny,

Ya I know that is how thins basically work but if we switched to a different sources of energy for our cars the oil company would be out a lot of money. They would try to stop the new source of energy from becoming available. One way they do this is by buying the right of a car (for example) that need no gas. Say this way invited by a gay in his garage and the oil company's made him an offer he could not refuse What do you think will happen?

I'm just glad that the government is requiring all models of cars and trucks made after 2008 to get at least 25 to the gallon, which basically rules out Hummers.

Think gas is insane?  Try paying for diesel or kerosene.  Last time I checked it was $4.86 for the diesel... and that's the absolute best I can find...

Also, not every station around here has it, so.. that kinda sucks..

But my car will burn anything.. anything is an alternative fuel for me...

My car's sucked down the following.. sometimes alone or in combination... gasoline, diesel, diesel additive, kerosene, water, expensive extra virgin olive oil, leftover Asian vegetable oil, leftover fast food vegetable oil.. and who knows what else. >_>
NES, SNES, N64, GCN (Jet Black), PQ (JPN), Wii, GBP (Clear), GBC (Green x2), GBASP (x2 Cobalt, x1 NES), DSLite (Black), SG3, SDC (x1 BIG, x1 Clear black top, solid grey/beige bottom), PS (x2), PS2 (Slim, Silver), PS3 (NTSC 60GB upgraded to 500GB), PSP 2000 (Silver, 4GB), XBox360 Elite

So what you are suggesting is that when every drop of oil is gone, distant transportation as we know it will cease to exist.
