I guess you never forget...

After spending so much time with Melee, i found out today its almost impossible to forget the old techs we used.
For example, I can still Wavedash as if I just learned it yesterday, and my Double Jump Bat Drops with Fox are sharp as a razor... albeit a very rusty razor. :D

In short, what things do you just have hammered into your skull, I bet if you experimented you'd be surprised.

My Young Link skills are as sharp as his sword. It takes me some time to get used to the jumping, but it's still good.
Some of my Fox techniques from Melee work in Brawl, and vice versa. Of course, they don't work as well as they do in Brawl.
Kirby takes some getting used to, again. I couldn't use any of my Melee Kirby techniques in Brawl, because of his changes, sadly. :'(

So yeah, some of my techniques still work. Oh, and Roy is more kickass than Marth.

I never learned to wavedash and never rly had to, so SHFF still works fine for me. Not that my friends use that too much either... >.>

Short Hop Fast Fall L-Cancel.....I can do it alright in Melee....still, but things don't translate between the titles. For instance, in Melee the other day, I used Ganon's >B.....let's just say it didn't do what I wanted it to....and over I went D:

My Luigi in Brawl is completely different than he was in Melee, and I've checked this.

I'd always be using Green Missile because of how useful it was to get around and hurt people at the same time, but it's so much harder to use in Brawl because Luigi accents a LOT more than he did in Melee during the attack ;-;

I only used Luigi in Melee, and I never did any of the so-intercourse ing-useful-techniques-that-take-ages-to-learn-but-once-you-do-you're-the-best-person-around,-even-if-you-sucked-prior-to-learning-this-move
things, because I only played to have fun.

I tried going back to Melee... Ganondorf feels like Sonic, and everyone falls as fast as a brick.

But my tech skills have not diminished, much... I can still wavedash like a pro, and my Mewtwo skills are untouched, and as polished as ever...........................

That would be because Wavedashing is not possible in Brawl.

I never re-adjusted to melee. I got a newcomer as a main so I don't have many strategies to go back with. However I can do general strategies perfectly.

I haven't played Melee for two years, and even so, I sucked at Melee. All I ever used was Ness, Kirby, Ice Climbers, and Marth, and pretty much did nothing well.
