Post some boss battles of when you were young, that creeped out/wierded out/disturbed/scared you.

the battle with Giygas, second form in earthbound always gave me nightmares.
It still scares me.

not the boss itself, but just thinking about what he represents creeps me right the intercourse  out.

Majora scared the crap out of me the first time and that was only like 2 years ago. Also, a select few Kirby bosses just because of how incongruous they are with the rest of the oh so cuddly game.

Marx X_X;;

Oh, I don't know if this counts, but Urgan Zhan III from Serious Sam: The First Encounter.

He does a SHIT load of damage to ya, he's FREAKING huge, and, when you get his life bar to the red, HE REGENERATES! X_X

Took me forever to figure out how to beat him.

Vamp in MGS4 was similar to that. There was only 1 way to beat him and you have to use a VERY specific item at a very speicific time. I had to use a guide at that point...only time I did because I was getting frustrated.
You can beat him in about 2 minutes if you know how afterwards X_X;;

Oh, and then there was A. KU.MU in JSRF.

That was some creepy music. 0_o (Not as mich as Giygas', of course, but still...)

what was scary about Giygas?  just the musak?  I've never played any of the Mother games.

Dead Hand (or whatever it's called) from OoT scared the hell out of me, but not as much of the ReDeads, which were the real arduous task for me in that game. (you know, the boss that rose out of the ground, then would grab you with one of the arms that was sitting around the room, and bite you).

Chozo ghosts in Metroid Prime (though not a boss).

Didn't play many scary games as a kid.  Some of the ghost boss battles in SMRPG creeped me out, and it scared me to have to fight some battles (because I knew they wouldn't be easy, though some were legitimately scary).

examples of these would be:
-Axem Rangers
-Ganon
-The floating thing that chases you after you grab the key in Mario 2
-Flaggrah (genius method, and the ensuing tricks you must preform afterward (the main component of the Spiderball skip))
-Regenerators (RE4)
-Final boss of Majora's Mask
-A good number of bosses in Banjo Kazooie/Tooie (the one that stands out the most is the boss of Grunty Industries, i think.  The one that had a vacuum and a bossroom floor that electrocuted you).
-The boss of the Factory in DK64 (what a ninny)
-The final boss of Rayman: The Great Escape (the only downfall of such an amazing game, though I'm sure it would be easier at this point in time).

The musak, as you call it, is quite creepy, but that is not what makes Giygas so terrifying.
Watch the final battle of earthbound on youtube or something.

When I figured out What I was fighting I got really creeped out and really scared.

Hah, Giygas has to be the most emotionally draining boss fight ever. I haven't played it, seen it, and it's creepy as hell.
