I have a Galaxy S3, and I have Verizon. Only US carrier to not update it to even 4.3, much less 4.4. I might just get a custom ROM.

Custom roms are worth it. They run so much better than stock.
I just haven't flashed my S3 yet because I've been lazy and I'm usually about doing other things
AOKP and Cyanogenmod are pretty good
