Well, whatever I did worked. My computer's on now.

I guess it just decides when to hate me and when not to.

If it was shipped to you and you put it in while it was cold that could have f***ed up your card. The PSU could be not efficient enough for the card(this would be my case, every now and then the colors get f***ed up and a BSoD sometimes). A broken cable is also always a possibility....

What card did you get?

I dont have the box with me right now, but it was something by BFG Entertainment or something with the name BFG. It wasn't shipped either, I went to Walmart and bought it. Yes, Walmart. I was really only looking for something that didn't suck as hard as onboard video, and hey, its a 256 mb card, so whatevs.
