Kaos, maybe he's just too lazy to update it.....or not. :P

@Tuppy: Did you follow all of my instructions on how to make the game harder?
No, I'm junctioning everything.

Be sure to get CARD and CARD MOD from Quezacotl. So massively helpful.

jnfs2014

In that case, I have tons of things that make the game painfully easy.

Already having it learn that.

Oh, also Ice Magic Refine. Then, kill a few Fastitocalon-F to get Fish Fins. Refine them for 20 Waters each.

Crazy strong poop.

Tupin

Well, I WOULD do that, but my disc is defective. And it's a non-Greatest Hits, Squaresoft version of the game.  :|

That's the version I have. :3

Tupin

I got it resurfaced, and it still does it. Maybe I'll try it on my PS1?

Hmm. I was grinding for AP, so I haven't made it that far yet. Try it on your PS1, see what happens.

Or maybe resurfacing didn't help, maybe it's got a scratch too deep.

Tupin

Yeah, this Amazon seller is going to get chewed out.

I guess I can always buy the Greatest Hits Square-Enix version of the game... :(

Unless I get a refund, but get to keep the game, in which case I'll just buy a Squaresoft version of disc 1.

...ahw. I just played through and destroyed the spider, and by doing I missed one of the coolest cutscenes in the game, but the item/AP was real nice.

Edit: GOD DAMMIT IF YOU HIDE IN THE CAFE YOU LOSE THE CUT SCENE TOO.

This one is totally your call.

I bought a new PS2 controller. It works. So, I decided it was time to finally get back to playing Re:Chain of Memories.

I remember why I never finished it: THIS GAME IS HARD AS CRAP. I HATE THIS CARD SYSTEM. EVERY ATTACK INCLUDING SIMPLE BLUDGEONING ATTACKS TAKES UP AMMO. THE NUMBER SYSTEM MEANS ENEMIES CAN CANCEL YOUR ATTACKS AND GIVE YOU RECOIL ANY TIME YOU ATTACK NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE. IT'S IN 3D INSTEAD OF THE GBA'S OVERHEAD, SO YOU HAVE TO CONTROL THE CAMERA WHILE YOU'RE DEALING WITH ALL THIS CRAP. GRAAAAAAAH.

Or maybe I just suck. I think it's both. :(

Also, while I was at the store, I saw FFXIII on sale for $40 (usually $55), and I was very tempted to get it. Any opinions on it? I've never played a real FF game, so I'm not old-school biased or anything when it comes to how this game is more streamlined and more actiony and stuff.

Wait, hiding in the cafe is an option? The one where you meet the guys that tell you to move out?

Is this cutscene the one of Quistis killing the spider with a machine gun while Squall jumps on the boat?

Yes, and yes.

Tupin

I'm downloading the first disc of the game, I'll find just the one disc someplace else and replace it after I do.
