....and I'm thinking about getting a Zelda game for my next Wii Points Card. What should I get?
Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask.
Both are excellent games with only A Link to the Past being as good.
Although I go with OoT first, since MM is the sequel.
I would say OoT. For one, as Nayrman said, MM is the sequel. Second, I found MM to be a little more of a challenge that OoT.
But this is your first time playing ZELDA? .-.
No, but it would be the first Zelda game I bought.
OoT and MM, like everyone said.
Also, get A Link to the Past for the SNES.
OoT is better for a first game in my opinion. Majora's Mask was a lot harder for me to get into. On a side note I honestly didn't like MM that much.
OoT is the perfect starting point for anyone new to Zelda, because it's the only game to perfectly summarize what Zelda is. It's in Hyrule with Zelda and Ganon[dorf], it's not a sequel, it's not super gimmicky, it features full civilizations; it's the perfect Zelda game.

From what I've been told/read (I've never played Ver1.0 myself, I believe only 800,000 copies were sold in the U.S.), the Water Temple has one fewer small key than the other versions. Meaning you can intercourse up and use all the small keys and not go to where Dark Link is. Thus forcing you to permanently lose the game and having to restart from the beginning.

Oh yeah, if you do play OoT and don't use a guide, make sure to look at a guide if you want a specific upgrade before you become an adult, I read there's a glitch that once you become an adult, you can't get that upgrade anymore. But it's just Deku Nuts/Sticks (I forgot), so it wouldn't be a big problem if you didn't get it, just saying if you want to get all of the upgrades.

You only get warping halfway through the game.
And seriously, the triforce fetchquest where you're FORCED to interact with Tingle alone drops it a rung in terms of likability. It's the only part of the game I used a guide because I did NOT want to spend hours trying to find the darn pieces in the blatantly stupid game lengthener..

A Link to the Past is good, but it's extremely similar to OoT to the point where playing one after the other seems... boring. MM, however, has a whole new experience: it's creepy, depressing, and all around dark; every NPC has a name, day to day life, personality, and sidequest; and combining these factors makes it the deepest and most involving, emotion-inducing Zelda of all. WW is decent, and it's a good introduction to the 3D series for little kids, primarily because the puzzles and combat are both easier. I wouldn't go so far as to say that it's awesome, though. It was arguably the first game in the series to make any respectable effort to humanize Link (

But idk if I want to get MM, and I'll start with VC games.
