No.  It's been removed; it's no longer possible to move while air-dodging, which is a key element of wavedashing.

You guys are going to have to play fair now.

You have no idea how happy I am to hear that.

I hate wavedashers.

I'd like to play a game with out using techs ya know?  :-\
As Jono said, you guys are being casual elitist. It's not our fault you don't want to learn to "drillshine>shffld bair edgehog". If you want to limit yourself, fine, but don't whine when someone who wants to play the game the best they can kicks your ass because you "would like to play a gme without using techs".
Well, some people are different.

I'd rather vs. a person who doesn't use it then Does, if they wish to use it to there advantage thats fine.
I can wavedash (NOT as good as those who perfected) but it's not my style/taste to do so.

As I said, plenty enough times, I Loath tournaments for various reasons, so I suppose I'm NOT the competitive type
as much as others. Thats just the way that is.

If Wavedashing is truly out, then I personally see as it being something positive on My behalf, though the results of
"Hate/Happiness" is going to vary regardless. ;D

OH WELL!
But with random online, are you really going to have a choice?

Not to mention, contrary to popular undereducated belief, wavedashing isn't the most important thing in competitive smash. Unless you character happens to be Ice climbers, there isn't a 100% chance you will get f***ed if you don't wavedash.

And once again, I agree with Jono. The casual players want everything dumbed down so they can be like competitive players without putting in nearly as much hardwork. If you are really against it, just act neutral. Don't worry about it, say nothing insulting/against it, and you'll be fine. Tourney players don't force every other person to play by their rules. It's only that way when it comes to deciding who is more skillful.

And I agree, with everything you said, but still I'd like to get my Opinion across so people will know how I feel
about the matter.

If I can't wave dash or not good at it, then Yeah thats my problem, I should work hard in perfecting it like them. :P
That I agree with, thats how it is IRL ya know.

I'm open minded to understand from both sides/issues.

I just don't like it, and it's not my style, thats all.

"I hate those who wave dash"<--- Thats what I said, but I wasn't being Extreme to where I was like,

"OMG, I WISH ALL WAVEDASHERS DIE GRRRRRR!!! >:( "
no thats not me, and I didn't mean it that way, so I apologize for it!

I just have my thoughts and views on it and I'll say what I think about it when it comes across
(and If I feel like saying anything).

I owned SSBM for what...................... 6 or so  years (what ever lol)
and I NEVER SEEN nor HEARD of Wave dashing or any techs until the 5th YEAR.

So my skills and everything else was set in stone, I didn't want to learn something else, I just didn't like it.
I seen other people use it and was amazed at Fox, Marth and Luigi doing it 0_0

But in a way it was too late for me to learn, and because I just wasn't interested.
Maybe if I heard/known about wavedashing from the start, I'd of mastered it. :P

If Wave dashing is back, in SSBB then I'll take THAT Chance and input it into my fighting skills...start all over from
scratch ya know, and any other techs that may be discovered.  :robothappy:
Yes, I see your point. My best friends brother is just like that. He started out using the control stick and a button, and now it's hard for him to do it with the C stick and x/y buttons.

I also see where you are coming from. I was in the exact same position when I first learned of stuff like this. It took me a good 4 months to get the things down to where I can do them quite often. Like you said though, you weren't interested in learning them that much. That is where we differ. I had sucked miserably at Smash before then, using Link as a main, and winning only by camping. ATs (Advanced techs) got me back into smash, gave me a reason to play. I practiced as often as I could, trying to get good. Now, I'm one of the best out of all my friends, who all play smash (some less than others). It seems it comes down to people's desire, if winning is everything, or just a side effect. If they truly want to do their best, or if they just want to play.

YEAH! I seem to be on the "I just want to play and have fun" not "I'm GONNA KO EVERYBODY AND WIN EVERYTIME HA HA HA" :P

LOL

And I never even thought about it THAT way either.
Well, I'm glad I know where I stand in the matter.

-Yes, I'm running a tournaments between both forums of NSF and NSider 2, which is why
I think it's best for everybody to practice 1st and find there own techs/skills.

Learning the basics of a character and then improving and finding new ways in making them better then never before, by that way
using Techs.

I talk a big game, but all I want to do is play. :P

But anyway, Dave, thank you for helping me realize what I want out of all of this truthfully. ^_^

*honestly, my fighting skills in SSBM was a tad bit over average, so I held my own in tournaments.

(though when I traved up north to visit a friend in Wisconsin, I 1vs1 fought all these people from GAME CRAZY on SSBM and never lost 1 time)
With out using Techs!

I never lost, I was so Hyped and excited....
(Granted they never heard/nor used techs at the time either soooo yeah)
:P

I'd bet it's the other way around. More people here seem content playing the game, with winning the 2nd priority.

As for helping you find what you want out of this, you're welcome? That wasn't originally my intention, but at least something good came out of it. :P

And for playing gamecrazy people... While winning always means something, the people that go to the gamecrazy smashfest/tournies usually aren't the brightest bunch. My friend raped when he was like, 7 when he went to some random tourney at gamecrazy. But yeah, winning really gets the blood pumping, at least when you don't expect it. When I went to my first smash fest and won a match I was thinking "Holy poop I actually won! Maybe I don't suck that badly...". It really encouraged me to keep training.

How did you know that the people that go to Game Crazy are kind'a like

(( Duhhh, how'd he do that?! ))

you really just described them, and no it wasn't 2-3 of them, it was a group of 8 of them..and I beat them 1 by 1...

"this dude from Louisiana just come up here and beats us all wtf" (is what 1 of them said)

Man, .... such a great time, too bad the place closed down.

Heh, even with the lack of skill probably needed to win, I'm sure it was fun. It bothers me when people are cocky about their skills, especially when they know nothing at all. Showed them mofos.
