Obviously nothing official, as we don't even know if there is a smash 4 being planned.
But basically Suda himself says he'd love to see Travis in the next Smash game. And since both Snake and Sonic had both Kojima and Naka respectively give the thumbs up and show desire to be in Smash, maybe this isn't so far fetched after all?
I'd certainly love to see him.

Eh....they'd certainly have to release NMH2 before it comes out so he would gain more popularity.

I know, just noticing he's the first person since Snake and Sonic were revealed to say he actually wanted someone in the Smash games. And since he is the owner of the company, basically what he says goes.

I think that Travis would be a good character.

I haven't played No More Heroes yet, butfrom what I've seen, he's got a decent moveset.

*Waits pacently for Mr. Namco to be in SSB 4.*

You're never going to let Mr.Namco go are you? XD

I can't play NMH, but like MGS and what I've seen, why not? The more badass characters, the better.

No matter how much you wish and want. No matter who you tell. Mr. Namco will never be in Super Smash Bros.
And no matter how many times I say. No matter how many reasonable reasons why. You will always think he has a chance.

Dude .

X-3

He'd be censored to death.

...I'd really like to see him in, though.

Mr. Game and Watch got in. Sonic and Snake got in. Mr. Namco is essentially a combined idea of the two: A third Party character with a bunch of differant moves from differant games.

Why not?

....Who's Mr. Namco?
He's the guy from Dig Dug, but he has moves based off of several old (And new) Namco games, such as Dig Dug, Pole Position, Pac-man, and Soul Caliber.

Just like Mr. Game and Watch has moves based off of HIS different games, like Fire, Chef and Octopus.

The big thing that Travis has going for him is that he is Wii Exclusive Character. If he stayed that a time, as in until the announcement of Smash 4, I could see him having a high chance of getting in. But, the kicker is, again, that they are going to want to maintain that partnership with Suda that has seen Contact, No More Heroes, etc. As long as he doesn't pull a Resident Evil 4, I'd say it has good odds.
