Well, if Rap Artists realized that lyrics about your life being f***ing awesome, or being f***ing s***, are both horrid ideas for lyrics. Their beat is normally fine, but if I like a rap song, I go and look for the "Instrumental"
what about stuff that is about political and social issues.  they have different types of rap too.

there is rock that has political content and there is rock that is about doing cocaine and having sex.  What makes you think that rap doesn't having different subjects too?

Usually you have the go to the underground artists for them, but Kayne and Lupe are good Substitutes for the time being.

Rap is different from Hip-Hop. Someone like Kayne West would be Hip-Hop, while someone like Jay-Z would be Rap
You got that all wrong.
Someone like Tpain would be Hip-Hop and someone like Jay-z would be rap.
Sometimes they do both just for main stream success but the rest of the album is great.
They just need that 1 club bagner and then they do fin.
Thats why Lil wayne made Lollipop :(

Hate Rap? multitude of reasons:
Loud and obnoxious
Very little actual beat
Nothing but fast talking/no actual singing half the time
most songs I've heard involve either making it rain or bangin some ho's X_X;;

I don't listen to it because I really just don't like the whole culture behind the genre, nor do I like the genre itself... I liked eminem back in the day.

back in the day.

nor do I like hip-hop generally these days... it's mostly the same beat over and over again (OVER AND OVER AGAIN).

electro pop is where it's at (hot chip ftw)

Making generalizations about anything is always a dumb thing to do.  I'm not the biggest fan of rap music but there are some catchy songs that i hate to love and there are others the are pretty good music.  Overall, music is music, there's bad and good in every genre.

Despite me living/growing/raised and a community that listens to nothing BUT Rap music,
I just don't like it.

To me personally it's so negative. (not saying any other kind of music can be negative) but..
I can't relate to rap.

I don't have the need nor want to do what they rap/sing about.
Guns, girls, drugs, murder wth! ...
Now, I'm open minded enough to know that not all rap is about what I listed, but the majority seems to be.

It's all the same......

And anyway, I don't "Hate" rap, I just really dislike it. And if I can never listen to it again, I swear I'd never.

The whole culture? Last I checked, there is more than one rapper?

Some Nsiders just like Daft Punk too much, I guess....

So is that a bad thing D:? Anyways I myself like most forms of Hip-Hop or Rap in this case. Examples would be the "Wu-Tang Clan", "Kanye West", and heck I even like "Immortal Technique". Some rappers are overly cocky, even though they make poop for music, and therefore I dislike them.

If I am correct then I think he means, culture as in what the territory that comes with being a rapper.

The rest of C3 is so much win, though.
Milli is quite possibly the best song I've heard from it, and that was on an unnofficial mixtape.

I reccomend you check out Army of the Pharaohs and Jedi Mind Tricks - otherwise, <3 for Wu-Tang and IT.
