Obviously if you like the newer games over the old ones, you cannot appreciate good classic games.

That is all, Thank you.
No problem. ;)

I can appreciate them, but I always like the newer ones more. Thats all :)
The only new one that can even compare to the new ones is Sonic Adventure 2 and the Rush series.
Not really, that is entirely opinion based. I defend what I enjoy because I enjoy it. ;)

And wow, this thread is giving me quite the amount of posts :P
That's fine if you enjoy it. I'm not arguing that. I'm perfectly okay with that.
But you're claims the new ones are better are opinion too, so basically we're in a debate here.
I never said they were better, i just said i liked them more. They are both good in their own way. ;)

And broken jumping mechanics? I never saw a diference in this from Sonic Adventure 2... :)
<_<;;
Not...really...
I could write on the badness of all of them cept SA2/B and SR.

Are you kidding? The jumping was so borken in that game it was ludicrous. Homing attacks for Sonic only went forward (where you could change directly after landing in SA2, not in 06). Shadow's was slightly better but then again he didn't run fast (but then again neither did Sonic).

The problem is people just want to agree with other people to look cool and be accepted.

so one would say the old sonic games are better just because most other people do.

Besides, what I like the most about any video game is the characters and the older games give no characters any personality what so ever.
Squaresoft did...Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger were great plot games.
We didn't need full blown personalities in those days. You just played the games...(but then again I was a kid and didn't care for it as much).
Besides, Mario still has almost no "real" personality. The only difference between the old games and now is that he has a voice...but doesn't speak and stuff...same goes for Link, Samus, and basically every Nintendo property besides Star Fox, Fire Emblem, Mother, and F-Zero X_X;;

I'm just here to state my opinion and discuss gaming with others. I dont care if nobody likes me because I enjoy 3D Sonic games more than 2D :) I dont even care if I make friends, they are supposed to come as your progress...

And yes, having voice acting is more interesting than not, in my opinion. I like to hear what everybody is saying! ;)

"Fox, get this guy off me!" - Slippy
"Sonic! We have to do the blatantly obvious thing I'm going to go into great length discussing!" - Tails
"___" - Anything Raiden says in MGS2

Sometimes it's not the best thing the world. But I agree on that front. VA is generally better than no voice and stuck with text...

hmm that's probably why i don't really play Mario,Link, or Samus' games.
I do love the FF series though, and I've never played Chrono Trigger.

Oh, the Wii and PS2 versions of Sonic Unleashed are only gonna have seven levels unlike the PS3 and 360 versions which will have nine.

Terrible is again opinion. If you ask me, terrible would be not being able to understand what they are saying, or having the voices so off that you hear a baby talk like John Madden (unless, of course, if it were for humor)

And alot of kids that play Sonic probably arent that old. Its probably a stretch, but some of them probably cant read and rely on hearing what they are saying. With no text or voice acting, you have to rely on a beginning game summary, which old sonic games never have. Instead then, you have an instruction booklet telling you the situation :P

Again, you have your opinion...but, agian, it's sorta just wrong. Any 4Kids VA is automatically bad until further notice. It's basically law after what happened to One Piece X_X;;
Just a few things:
1. Since when does Sonic need a deep involving storyline VA tells? It doesn't...run around and kill robots. What more do you need?
2. Mario still has no VA...and kids still play that X_X;;
3. Instruction books are for instructions, not stories. Also, again, it's a Sonic game. It's not Final Fantasy or anything. It's not like it needs a big ol storyline to carry the game...
