Hello. My name is Alakazam, former leader of the esteemed rescue team ACT. I would like to tell you a little about the history of the world of Pokemon. About five years ago, a human and his sister came to our world, and had transformed into a Pokemon. No one surely knows how they beacame Pokemon, but when they got here, they asked all different kinds of questions, but only few they got answers to.
Anyway, the humans bonded with another Pokemon, and together they formed a rescue team, helping Pokemon in danger everywhere. And when the world needed them the most as a meteor came on a crash course to our world, they were there to save us. They certainly were remarkable. After that astounding saving act, however, the two humans disappeared, and have not been seen since. Rumor has it that they are somewhere underground, perhaps underneath the Pokemon Square.
It is now the year 1999 of our world, and a large festival shall be coming soon. Luckily, not many rescue signals have been sent out for a while, and we are currently in a time of peace and tranquility. But we must always be on our guard, and be ready for anything...
Here are the rules of this roleplay:
1 ) Follow all the rules.
2 ) This is a semi-literate roleplay, meaning that you should use proper grammar all the time. You may have a spelling mistake from time to time, but please do not make it frequent.
3 ) No Godmoding.
4 ) No flaming others' characters. It is up to me to decide if they need altering.
5 ) Do not RP until I have given you the A-OK.
6 ) Keep OOC comments within double parenthesis.
7 ) You can NOT be a legendary Pokemon.
8 ) If you want items, you must either get them in your starter pack, or buy them in the Kecleon shop.
9 ) I will always give the rescue/explorer reward as I see fit.
10 ) I may post special rescue/explorer missions. If this happens, it is first come, first serve.
11 ) If you want to be an evil character, please tell me so within your application PM.
12 ) You may challenge other exploration/rescue teams to a battle, but it must be over a reasonable... reason? Yeah, reason. If this comes up, I will post how to fight in a battle between teams.
13 ) I may add on more rules as I see fit.
14 ) Have fun!
15 ) If you want to buy items, you must buy them from a Kecleon Shop worker or me.
16 ) If you want to buy an item, make sure it is in stock on post 3.
17 ) Rescue/Exploration teams all start out with 1000 Poke. You may earn more on missions. All other jobs start out with 500 Poke.
18 ) Limit of 3 people per rescue/exploration team.
19 ) A "Rank of Accomplishment" is how well you do on a mission, both as a team and individually. Your team will get a rank for how good you did (Normal, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, in order of worst to best). This is graded by how fast you completed the mission, how well you did in certain objectives, and more. You may also be awarded Poke, as well as other goods.

Currently in New World: The hit rock band, PokeRock, is coming from overseas to perform in Pokemon Square, in celebration of the release of their new album. However, a mysterious Gengar named Shane wishes to create the concert into a total disaster, as PokeRock refused to let them join. Team Koorikaze and Rakuro of PokeRock want to stop this from happening, and set out in finding Alakazam for help...

Alec the Elekid walked out of his room and past Shaelyn the Buneary.
"
I'm going out."He said without waiting for a response.He walked out and shut the door behind him.
"Oh.. Okay.." Shaelyn replied a bit too late, watching as Alec walked out. For some reason, the Elekid seemed discouraged. She couldn't blame him, really, their rescue business hadn't been going well at all lately. Shaelyn sighed, just looking at the doorway, as if expecting Alec to come back almost instantly, but knowing that he wouldn't.

The town.
Alec walked around town,bored as ever.
Why won't this place change?
Change.
That's exactly what he needed,change.He went back to the hut and grabed his backpack,left right back out the room and out the small house.
"Leaving again."He said to Shaelyn the same way he had said before.
He took his MP3 player and put it on shuffle.He started walking tlward a cave.

Ryaku rubbed his eyes as he looked around in a sleepy daze. He looked out the window and saw the sun had come up.
So that's what woke me up.... I need to get some shades...
He thought to himself. He streched and got out of his bed and walked outside.
Maybe I should see what's going on in town today...
He thought, as he walked out off of his sidewalk and came to the main road.
I think I will.
And with that, he started off towards town.
The sun shone through the window of Gyatsu's small beach-side house. It didn't take long for the small Riolu to be awoken by the shimmering light.
"Mm... Morning already? Well, all right..."
He slowly turned his legs out of his rather large bed and plopped down to the floor. Eyes, still half closed, he walked over to the window. The sun was already a far bit over the horizon, as the light of the sun reflected off the ocean. Gyatsu gazed out for a moment, then decided that he would go out into town. He picked up a small glass and scooped up some water from a small pot he used for storing various drinks. Drinking it all, he set the glass down and headed on out the door. The wind was a bit cold, but that really didn't bother him, seeing that he was stuck in a glacier.
"Nice day out..."
Gyatsu walked up a small path that led up the side of a cliff, and he walked by the Pelliper Post Office, and into town.
Ryaku walked into Pokemon Square. The shop-keepers were already up, as usual. He started on his way to the bulletin board next to the post office.
"Good morning, Ryaku," the Keckleon brothers greeted in unison as he walked by.
"Good morning," he responded as he walked passed their store. Ryaku did not like talking much, but he hated being rude so he always spoke to the other Pokemon that said hello every morning. He continued walking along the main road at his own pace, finally arriving at Pelipper Post Office.
"I wonder what's happening today..." he thought.
He started reading the events of the day, slowly making his way down to the rescue jobs.
As Gyatsu was just at the edge of town, he heard something that made him turn around. There wasn't anything there, but his reflexes were always on high. He turned back towards town, and without notice, he accidentally collided with a Weavile, sending the both of them to the ground.
"Gah..." He moaned a bit while holding his head. He looked up and saw the Weavile on the ground as well. "Oh, jeez... Uh... Sorry about that..." Gyatsu slowly got up to his paws. "Are you all right?" He asked as he walked over and put out his paw to help him up.
Ryaku looked at the Riolu that knocked him over. He grabbed its paw and allowed it to help him up. He studied it a little bit then closed his eyes.
"Yes.... I'm fine.. But what about you?" he said quietly, with just enough volume for only the Riolu to hear.
"Oh, I'm just fine..." Gyatsu replied, pulling up him up. "Oh, um... I'm Gyatsu..."
He hadn't been able to talk with anyone since he had moved into his house last year, besides replying to questions and asking for something at the Kecleon Shop.
Ryaku stood up and brushed the dust off of him where he fell. He then replayed what the Riolu had said in his head. The volume that he spoke with was almost as quiet as his.
"I'm.... Ryaku..." he said with the same quietness as before.
"Well... Nice to meet you..." Gyatsu said somewhat quietly like he had before. "Uh... Were you heading to the Bulliten Board?" He asked, remembering that he planned on looking at it later.
To Gyatsu, this was the longest conversation he had made with anyone at all.
"Yes.... In fact I was reading it...." he said, never raising or lowering his voice.
He thought to himself, "He doesn't look like he's on a rescue team yet.... Then again... I'm not on one either... but it's better to ask than assume..."
Trying to drag on the conversation, as this was the longest one he'd even been in since he moved here 3 years ago, he asked, "Are you.... on a rescue team?"
"No... Not yet at least..." Gyatsu said. " In fact... I was thinking about making a rescue team of my own..."
For a while, he had thought about what it would be like to go on adventures to far off places. Gyatsu had also thought that he might find some answers to who he might be...
"You're not, either?" he asked letting on a little hint of excitement in his voice.
"If you formed a rescue team, I'd be your first member..." he said regaining his composure. All of thoughts of rescues and adventures filled his head.
"It could be fun..." he thought to himself.
"Really?" Gyastu said, somewhat surprised. "Well... Thanks."
"I haven't even started the team yet, and I already have a member... This might turn out well..."
Gyatsu then remembered that he had forgotten how to register a new rescue team. "Uh... Do you know how to get teams started? I kinda forgot..."
"I think we go to Pelipper Post Office..." he said, not remembering exactly how himself.
"Yeah, let's look there..." Gyatsu said as he turned to the direction of the post office.
Something inside Gyatsu was making him feel a bit excited, but he held it from showing on the outside as best he could.
"I'll go with you...." he said, trying to keep his composure. He caught up with Gyatsu who had managed to get ahead of him while he was day-dreaming.
The two walked for a bit to the Pelliper Post Office, and stopped for a moment at the door before going in.
"Well, all right..." Gyatsu though to himself. They calmly walked up to the front desk. Several other Pokemon were there, either sitting in the few chairs around the room, standing, or walking around.
"Can I help you, amigo?" the Pelipper asked.
"Yes....My frie-" Ryaku was stopped mid-sentense.
"I'm sorry, amigo, but can you speak up a bit?" the Pelipper asked.
Ryaku frowned a little, then leaned closer to the Pelipper, but never raised his voice, "My friend here wanted to start a rescue team..." he said.
"Alrighty, all I need him to do is fill out these forms." the Pelipper told him, sliding a small stack of papers across the desk.
Gyatsu stood as high as he could so he could reach the papers. "Thank you." He said as he got the papers and stood back down at normal height. "Why do they make these desks so high?"
He looked at a few of the papers. It didn't seem all that hard to fill out.
Ryaku watched as Gyatsu signed all of the papers. When he was finished, Ryaku took the papers from him and handed them to Pelipper. It sifted through them to make everything was signed and filled out.
"Alright, amigo, you're all set. Here's the starter kit."
Ryaku took it and handed it to his new rescue team leader.
Gyatsu took the kit and looked around inside of it. There was a few items and rescue team badges.
"Oh, jeez, I almost forgot... We need a name for the team..." Gyatsu said as he looked up from the kit. He thought a moment as he was trying to to think of good names. He then though of a really good name. "Koorikaze... It means 'Ice Wind'... That sounds like a good name..."
Ryaku smiled for the first time since he moved here.
"I like that...." he said with a small grin.
"Are we going to move into our new rescue team base today?" he asked his new team leader.
"Sounds like a good idea..." He replied to Ryaku. Gyatsu also gave a bit of a smile. "I have an idea... Why don't we fix up my house so that it can act as a base? It has a good view of the ocean..."
Things seemed to finally start to get into place since he arrived.
"That sounds like a great idea..." he said with a slightly happy tone. They left Pelipper Post Office and statred off towards Gyatsu's beach-side house.
"Oh, wait... Just a sec..." Gyatsu said as he remembered something else. He quickly dashed off towards town. Less than a minute later, he came back, holding a small box of what appeared to be goggles. He took two out and handed one pair to Ryaku.
"Here... I was thinking of some way to distinguish our team as, and I had always liked the look of goggles..." He said as he put on a pair for himself.
Ryaku happily accepted the goggles from Gyatsu. This was the first gift he had ever received from anyone. A tear formed and he wiped it away quickly. He placed the goggles on his forehead.
"Thank you so much, Gyatsu." he smiled, "Hold on, I'll be right back." he said, and dashed off at his fastest speed. He returned in a minute holding a little black box.
"Here," he said extending his hand with the box in it. He opened the box, revealing a 3 snow-white scarves inside it. He took one out and handed it to Gyatsu.
Gyatsu took the scarf. He looked at it for a while, seeing as this was also the first gift that someone had given him. Gyatsu smiled at him.
"Thanks." He said as he tied the scarf onto his right arm. For some reason he had always wanted something on his arm for looks, but now it was gift, rather than just anything.
They started off towards Gyatsu's beach-side house again, arriving in no time.
"Is this the place, Gyatsu?" Ryaku asked when they came up to a house.
"Yup this is it." He answered. One of the shutters on a window facing towards town suddenly fell off. "Uh... Eh... Not the best, but it's done well so far..."
He felt a bit embarrassed of the condition of the house.
"Guess we'd better get to work if we want to fix this place up before the end of the day." Ryaku told him, crossing his arms.
So they began to work and work. Chopping, nailing, painting, and cleaning. The sun was setting before they were finally finished. The paint glistened a vivid red and orange color in the evening sun. Everything was as good as new.

"Well, if that isn't a rescue base, I don't know what is." Gyatsu said happily, looking at the new base that stood before them.
"How about we head on inside?" He asked to Ryaku
"Sounds like a good idea." Ryaku said. He stepped into the new rescue team base with Gyatsu.
"It's amazing!" Ryaku said, with the most excitement he had ever used since he moved here.
"Yeah, I'm actually surprised myself." He said as he looked around the inside.
And Gyatsu really was surprised with the way that it had turned out.
"Do you.... Do you mind if I live here, too?" Ryaku asked timidly, not wanting to impose. The house was way better than his. It had more space and could easily hold 4 people.
"Well, of course you can live here. I mean... There's plenty of room, and I've been living by myself for a bit too long, anyway..." Gyatsu answered him. He liked the idea of having a roommate or two.
"Here..." He said as he walked over to a couch. He took off a couple of the cushions, and it folded out into a bed. "I'll try to get you an actual bed later, but will this do for now?"

"No thank you. This is absolutely fine. I just need to run home and pack a bag with a few things I need." he said.
"I should return within 20 minutes. I'll run top speed." he told Gyatsu.
He ran out the door and through Pokemon Square as fast as lightning. He made it to his house in about 10 minutes. He found an old bag that he had used to store some of his photos and old stuff from his rescue team before he moved here. He tossed them all in the bag. He grabbed a picture off of his end table that was next to his bed and rushed off with the bag strapped to his back. He dashed through Pokemon Square again and saw all of the shop-keepers putting everything away for the evening.
"They're closing up earlier than usual.... I wonder what's going on..." he thought as he ran past the Keckleon Shop and Felicity Bank. He arrived at Gyatsu's house just as the sun was about to sink below the horizon. He walked up the steps and back into the team base.
Gyatsu looked up from what he was doing and saw Ryaku come in through the door.
"Wow... That was fast..." He commented, amazed by how quickly he had returned. "How fast are you exactly?"
"I really have no idea myself." he laughed a little at not knowing what is own speed was. He sat the bag down on his bed and started unpacking a few things.

I knocked on the door of Koorikaze's team base. Not waiting for a response, and being very impatient at the time, I teleported myself into their base. "Sorry for not calling ahead of time, but I have urgent news", I told the two there at the time, Gyatsu and Ryaku.
Gyatsu smiled a bit, then went back to working on what appeared to be a small, yet very elegant watch made of a bright blue metal. The last bit of light from the sun shone of it, and it seemed to glow almost.

Jimmy wanted to join a rescue team and today seemed like the right day to do it, so he headed down to the Pelliper Post Office to see if there were any newly started rescue teams that might let him join.
"Hey Pelliper," Jimmy asked when he walked into the post office, "Are there any new teams that may let anyone new on their rescue team?"
"Well," Pelliper answered, "A new team called Koorikaze started up earlier today, they might be accepting someone."
"Ok, I'll go see," Jimmy responded, "Thanks for the help."
I looked Ryaku in the eyes, and saw a magnificent warrior within. "I have realized that you have just created a rescue team," I continued to the two, "and I can tell that you have great promise in your work.
"Which is why I have a rescue mission already for you two, and only you. It may be a trifle difficult, but I'm sure it's nothing you can't handle. It's a B-ranked mission in the Sinister Woods, at the thirteenth floor. My grandson, Abra, had gone into the woods to visit his friend, only to find him stuck under a fallen tree. He is an Abra as well, and it would mean much to him if you could help.
"There is a preset reward from me: 1000 poke if you succesfully complete the mission. Of course, you don't have to take up the mission if you don't want to. There are plenty other rescue teams I could go to. The choice is yours."

Ryaku turned to Gyatsu, "What do you think? You are the leader after all, so it's your choice. I'll agree with whatever you choose without objection."
Gyatsu just thought a moment. "Wow... Our first mission... And it's a pretty high ranked one, too..."
His thoughts went on to who he might have been before now. This might give him the chance to learn the truth. Or at least some.
"All right. We'll take it." Gyatsu replied confidently.
I smiled at the Riolu. "I admire your bravery. In preparation for this hard journey, I shall give you this." I handed Gyatsu a small orb, so that he could easily hold it in his grasp. "It's a Blowback Orb. Keep it close to you, as you never know when you might need it. Concentrate your energy on it, and its powers will activate.
"Good luck on your journey. I advise you start as soon as possible." With that, I teleported out of their base.
Ryaku watched as Alakazam left. He then turned to Gyatsu and exclaimed, "Wow! Our first mission. And it's such a high level."
"Yeah, I know. This is going to be amazing!" Gyatsu said excitedly, unable to hold it in any longer. He had never remembered himself being so happy before. The excitement was intense.

Ryaku told his new friend good night and pulled a blanket out of his bag after Gyatsu had went upstairs. It was covered with elaborate designs and was a gift that his old rescue team gave him for his birthday one year. He unfolded it and threw it perfectly across his bed. He took off his goggles Gyatsu gave him and hung them on the armrest of his temporary bed. He slid under the blanket and thought about the events tomorrow would bring.
"
I hope nothing goes wrong.... like last time..." he thought to himself as he stared at the picture he grabbed off his table from his old house. It was a picture of his old rescue team. He rolled over and closed his eyes. He was off to sleep before he even realized it.
It was the next morning, and the sun began to come in the window. Gyatsu slowly began to wake up, and he looked around his room. He had almost forgot about what had happened yesterday until he noticed that the room seemed different from the previous day. Gyatsu hopped down out of bed and walked downstairs. He saw that Ryaku was still asleep.
"Heh... Well, today's the day..." Gyatsu thought in his mind. He went into the kitchen, thinking that he might be able to make breakfast for the two of them. Just a few minutes later, and the smell of fresh pancakes wafted throughout the base.
Ryaku smelled pancakes. He opened one eye just enough to see the room clearly. He sniffed again. He had not smelled pancakes in a long time. He raised up to see it was Gyatsu who was cooking. He rubbed his open eye and yawned. He opened his other eye and rubbed the sleep out of it. He had dreamed last night. That same firmiliar dream.
He pulled his blanket off and stepped out of bed. He stretched a bit and walked into the kitchen.
"Good morning..." he told Gyatsu, still in his sleepy daze.
"Oh, morning." Gyatsu replied back. He slid another pancake off of the pan and onto the plate as he poured the last of the batter. "Though we could have a good breakfast before our first mission today."
Ryaku took an ice cube out of the freezer and started carving it with his claws as he sat down at the table.
"It smells good...." he said quietly. He sat his ice sculpture down and went to the cabinets and got some plates, cups, and the syrup. He placed them neatly on the table. He came back and got 2 forks and 2 knives out of the cabinet and placed them neatly as well. He sat back down and started on his ice sculpture again.
Gyatsu finished the last pancake and put it on the plate. He brought it over to the table and set it down. As Gyatsu was sitting down, he noticed the small ice sculpture that Ryaku was making.
"Wow... That looks pretty nice... Do you usually make sculptures like that?" He asked somewhat curiously.
"Sometimes. It's sort of a hobby."
He sat it down on the table. It was an ice sculpture of the Pelipper that helped them start their rescue team yesterday.
OOC* IS therd a limit to the amnunt of members in a rescue team?
((@Triforce_Luigi: The most I've seen a team have is 4, but normally, 3 is usually the only amount that you can actually bring into a dungeon with you...))

"Arigato." Ryaku said without much thought. His foreign tungue slipped into his thank you without him even realizing it.
"Thank you, I mean." he said, quickly correcting his slip up.
"Heh... It's all right... And your welcome." Gyatsu said back. He picked up his fork and knive, and began to cut into the pancakes. They were a really good looking gold color.

Ryaku took a bite of pancake. It was delicious. He savored the flavor and ate a few more bites. He stopped long enough to speak.
"This is amazing. You're a great cook." he said, then continued eating.
"Thanks." Gyatsu said, happily. "One of the few things that I still know how to do from before..." He stopped himself half sentence as he realized what he was almost going to say. "Eh... never mind... That would be a long story..." He then said, smiling a bit and taking a bite.
And he was right. It would be a long story...
Ryaku stopped just before he was about to take another bite.
"What is it? I like long stories. They interest me." he said, curious as to what Gyatsu said. He glanced over to his picture laying on the fold out table next to his bed then back to Gyatsu. He laced his claws together and put them where his mouth became hidden from view.
"I'll tell you a story if you tell me one." he told Gyatsu from behind his claws. He was curious as to what his team leader had to hide. He had never told anyone about his past since he moved here, but he was willing to use it as a bribe even if it meant bringing up those painful memories....
Gyatsu looked back at Ryaku. He had never realized that he wasn't the only one to have a tale to tell. Gyatsu slowly sighed.
"Okay." Gyatsu said as he took a breath. "A little more than a year ago, there was a rescue team that was on a mission at Mt. Freeze. They were close to their goal at the 12th floor, when they accidentally fell into a hidden crevice in the ice and snow floor. A few moments later, when they had gotten up, they saw that they were in a gigantic hidden ice room. And at the opposite end of the room..." He paused a moment. Gyatsu had heard this story only once, but he remembered it vividly. "Was me... Encased deep into the ice wall. I was found frozen inside the glacier."
"After they had thawed me out, to their surprise, I was still alive. None of them knew how it was possible, but... I dunno... I had no recollection of who I was... Just some random things and my name." He was remembering when he had first woken up after they had gotten him out. Gyatsu had remembered almost all three of the team, as well. "The one's who had saved me were a Jolteon named Rika, a Charizard named Drake, and... I don't quite remember the third... But he seemed... I dunno... Somewhat ominous... dark almost... I didn't really like him because he seemed..." He paused as he searched for a less blunt word, but failed. "...Evil..."
"They got out, and I agreed to help them finish the mission. Afterwards, I left them and headed south until I found this place. And... Well, here we are." Gyatsu finished, as he decided to take another bite of the pancakes.

Lux took a break later that day. He wondered if anything was happening today. He checked the bulletin board at the Post Office. It seemed that some team called Koorikaze was to go on their first rescue mission today. He sighed and walked back to work, preoccupied and tired.

By the time Gyatsu had finished his story, Ryaku's jaw had dropped nearly to the floor. He regained his composure.
"Now, as I promised, I will tell you a story and we can ask questions later."
He unlaced his claws and rested his arms on the table.
"Now, as you already know I moved here 3 years ago. I figure that you already know I am from a different country when I accidently spoke my foreign tongue. Well, as it turns out, I was on a rescue team once." he started, and glanced over to his picture on his folding table. He and got it and sat it on the table with the picture facing Gyatsu. Two Pokemon were standing next to Ryaku.
He continued, "Those two guys in the picture with me were my old rescue team. I'm in the middle. The one on the left is Kyotsu, he was a Marowak, and the one on the right is Wasashi, he was a Vulpix. "
He sighed and continued again, "Unfortunately they aren't alive now. Three years ago, during winter in my country, we were out on a rescue mission. A young Poochyena had wandered away from his mother. We were the rescue team called upon to find him. We looked for almost 7 hours until we finally found him at the foot of a mountain cold, tired, and hungry. Wasashi started a fire and Kyotsu helped me make a cave in the side of the mountain." He stopped for a minute and let Gyatsu catch up.
He started again, "We were almost through with the cave, so Wasashi brought the little Poochyena over. we heard a loud crack come from above our heads. All of us looked up and saw the snow in the side of the mountain starting to give way. It was an avalanche... Kyotsu ran over to the Poochyena and threw him to me and yelled at me. He told me to, 'Run! Get out of here! We'll catch up with you soon!'. So I did as I was told and ran as fast as I could. I made it back to the town and reunited the little boy with his mother and waited for Kyotsu and Wasashi to make it back. I waited.... and waited... and waited for days on end, but they never came. The rescue corporation where I lived sent out a search party. They dug through the snow and eventually, Kyotsu and Wasashi's bodies turned up.... I was the first one to know...." he looked down wondering if he could continue.
"I was in complete shock.... I stayed for they're funerals and payed my respects to my closest, and only, friends... then I left, never to return. They're losses were too great for me to handle especially since I was alone now.... I traveled to many places, and saw things some Pokemon may never get to see in their lifetime. I eventually wound up here... and decided to live here because I was tired of running. I wanted to start new... like a fresh winter snow... and here I am, 3 years later."
Lux was on break again and he was bored. He decided to see how this new team was faring. As a gift, he also brought a couple of berries and orbs. He made his way to their base and knocked on the door.
Jerry made his way down to the Koorikaze base to ask if he could join. When he got there, he saw Lux was over at the base with some berries and orbs.
"Hey Lux," Jerry said. "What are you doing over here?"

Gyatsu just sat there, not knowing what to say in response. It seemed like a really sad story.
"... Wow... I had no idea..." Gyatsu said in a saddened disbelief. Somewhere though, Gyatsu felt a little jealous. At least he had memories of friends to think back on. But he shook the feeling as fast as it had come on him.
"But everything is okay now." he said trying to reassure Gyatsu he was okay.
"You were really frozen in a glacier? What sort of things did you remember?" Ryaku was curious and firing questions left and right.
"Well, I remember how to make really good pancakes of course..." Gyatsu said a bit jokingly. "But... I also remember all sorts of these songs that I guess I liked..."
As a matter of fact, he had one stuck in his head as he mentioned it. One that seemed to always be there when he didn't have any other song stuck in his head.
"Really? What kind of song?" he asked. Ryaku was a big fan of music. He still remembered his favorite song from his homeland. It was average speed, but the lyrics were good and it had a nice melody.
"Well..." Gyatsu began. He thought a moment, and decided on something. "Hold on... I'll be right back." He got down from his chair and rushed upstairs to his room. Opening the closet, he rummaged through until he found what he was looking for. Gyatsu got it and made his way back. As he went down the steps, he had to be careful. It was a very elaborately decorated ice-blue guitar, with swirling silver designs and a dark-wood neck. The strings seemed to glisten as if they were crystal smooth. Of course, it was very large compared to him, which is why he had to be cautious on his way down.
"I bought this on my way south from Mt. Freeze with the share of money that the rescue team gave me after their mission..." Gyatsu said as he slid his plate over to set it down. He had to stand up on the chair to reach the neck of the guitar. He got out a small clear pick. "This is one of the songs that I remember... One that's been stuck in my head for most of the time after I got here."
After taking a breath began to play.

I tried once again to teleport out of my predicament, but unfortunately, to no avail. I want to cry, right here and now. I don't know what to do. I just want to get out of here. I want to go home.
Ryaku listened intently to the song Gyatsu was playing for him. The guitar was amazing and he was amazing at playing it.
"Wow. That song is.... I've never heard anything quite like it. I think it's really good." he sat there to think about the song. It was really something he had never heard before... I was almost as if it came from a different time.
"Well, I'll sing the my favorite song. I don't have anything to play it on, so I hope my singing is okay to you." He recalled the lyrics in his foreign tongue and started to sing.

Gyatsu sat there listening to the song. He thought that the lyrics were amazing. As the song was almost done, he suddenly had a strange feeling. A feeling that he had somehow heard the song somewhere before.
"Wow... That song is great." He said to Ryaku. He then remembered other songs that he knew. And strangely enough, they were in the exact same language as the one Ryaku had just sung...
A knock on the door quickly broke his line of though. Wondering who it could be, he got down out of his chair and went over. As he opened the door, he saw Lux, and a Plusle that he hadn't quite met yet.
Ryaku walked over to the door, noticing Lux and a Plusle. He was a cosiderable bit taller than Gyatsu, so he just looked over him. He remained silent.
I wonder what they want... he thought to himself.

Gyatsu had a somewhat surprised look on his face. Someone else already wanted to join the team?
"Well, what do you think, Ryaku?" Gyatsu said as he turned to Ryaku.
"It's your team, Gyatsu. That's for you to decide. Whatever choice you make will be okay with me." Ryaku replied.
Gyatsu nodded and turned back to the Plusle. "All right, you can join. And we're about to head out on a mission, so if you can, pack up a few things and get ready to go."
Now team Koorikaze was up to three members. The chance that the mission would succeed went up a bit, but there was still a chance something might happen. This was it. Team Koorikaze's first mission was about to begin.
"Great!" Jimmy said happily. "I'll go a pack up." Then Jimmy left to go grab his things. When he got back, he said, "My name's Jimmy, what are your names?"
"Well, my name is Gyatsu," He began. "and this here is Ryaku." He motioned towards Ryaku. "Now we have to head out to see Alakazam to see where the Sinister Woods are... That's where our mission is. Me and Ryaku just need to get a few things before we leave, so we'll be out in a minute." Gyatsu went back inside and headed upstairs. He had already gotten a pack ready and quickly grabbed it before heading back down.
Ryaku was already packed and waiting at the door.
"Are you ready?" Ryaku asked.
"Yup... Let's go see Alakazam and see which way to go." Gyatsu said as they headed out the door and headed towards town.
They made it to the square and looked around a bit. "Hmm... I wonder where Alakazam would be?" Gyatsu said to himself.
"Who knows..." Ryaku replied, looking around as he did.
"... Maybe we should just wait here?" Gyatsu asked, unsure of what to do next. He looked around, but didn't see anything that would give a hint.
"Then we'll wait." Ryaku replied. He put his bag down and sat down against a post.
Gyatsu sat down his bag as well. He stood a moment, and a little while after, he began to get bored. Gyatsu looked down at his goggles and started to examine them. After a while, he took one of his claws and on the side, he began to etch his name. The strange thing was that it was in Japanese Hiragana.
Alakazam teleported to the rescue team and gave them their mission. He pointed to where a vast series of trees were. "That's the Sinister Woods. The Abra you are looking for is trapped deep within the woods, and is under a tree. Here." He handed them a map. "This shows you how to get there. Good luck on your journey." He disappeared.
Gyatsu looked down at the map. As he looked, he found the way to get to Sinister Woods wasn't very hard to follow.
"Well, it seems like it won't be very long until we get there." Gyatsu began. "So I guess we should head on out now."
"Alright." Ryaku replied, standing up. He picked his bag up and threw it over his shoulders.
It was now about a half hour later, and they had now come up to the edge of the Sinister Woods. Gyatsu could tell that it was going to be dark inside because of how close the trees were.
"All right then... Shall we?" Gyatsu asked.
"I'm ready when you are." Ryaku replied, looking into the dark depths of the forest ahead.
"Right then... Let's go." Gyatsu said before beginning their trek through the deep forest. Gyatsu was right; the forest was extremely dark, and it was somewhat hard to see. Gyatsu got an idea, and held out his paw. He focused a bit of energy, and a small orb of aura began to hover over his out-stretched paw. The gentle blue light quickly lit up the area that they were in.
"That's helpful." Ryaku said. He looked around in the illuminated part of the forest. Eyes gleamed in several spots. Ryaku just ignored them and continued looking around.
"Let's see if we can find the stairs to the next floor of this place... I remember someone mentioning that there are stairs in every single dungeon that leads to a new area..." Gyatsu explained a bit. He looked around the small area. "But it doesn't look like it's in this room of the area. Let's go look."
"Okay." Ryaku replied as he began following Gyatsu.
Gyatsu began to think as they walked down a narrow path to another area. "Say... I don't think I remember Alakazam saying what floor Abra was on..." He said. "We're probably going to examine each floor thoughtfully."
"Great..." Ryaku replied. He knew that would take some time.
They made it to the next room of the area and looked around. No sight of Abra.
"Well, let's keep going..." Gyatsu said. They headed for the next narrow passage to another room.
"Okay..." Ryaku answered as he continued following Gyatsu.
Gyatsu heard a rustle of leaves from deep in the forest, but dismissed it. But then he began to think. "Say... I haven't seen any other Pokemon since we came in here... Where could they be?"
"You're right. You'd figure a place like this would be crawling with other Pokemon." Ryaku replied as he continued looking around.
As they entered the next area, Gyatsu heard the rustling sound again.
"You hear that?" he asked.
"Yes.... What do you suppose it is?"
"I dunno... Let's just keep our guard up." Gyatsu replied. There was no sign of Abra here, either.
"Right." Ryaku replied as he kept walking.
"Hmm..." He looked around. He saw a set of stairs over in the corner of the room. "Over there. I found the first set of stairs."
"Good..." Ryaku said, running over to them.
((*uses a Revive on the thread* Jeez, this hasn't been touched in over a MONTH... I wanna know what happens next... :-\ ))
Gyatsu stopped right in front of the stairs. He thought he had heard something, but decided that it was nothing. Still a bit cautious, he started down the stairs with the other two right behind him.
"I have a bad feeling that something is gonna happen..." Gyatsu began to think to himself as they went down.
"I feel the same....." Ryaku replied as he followed Gyatsu down the stairs.
A Scyther watched the stairs intently. I can feel them... hehe... I'm hungry for food... a few young rescuers could do the trick.
((I was wondering; what do you guys think of me creating a character for myself? As in an actual Explorer or Rescuer?))

They had now reached the bottom of the stairs. They looked around a bit to see that it was an even darker forest than before.
"Wow... Who would think that there would be more forest underground?" Gyatsu asked as he looked through all the trees. They walked a bit farther until they found an area where several trees had been toppled over. "I think we're close... Alakazam said that he was trapped under a tree, right?"
The Abra that was trapped under the tree heard a voice. "Help!" It screamed. The Scyther jumped out of its hiding place, licking his lips. He rushed over to Gyatsu and swiped at him.
"Bug Cutter!"
((Maybe after this Rescue Mission. I have an idea for an arc for your team, seeing as you two are the only ones participating.))

Completely shocked by the attack, Gyatsu rolled backwards, just barely missing the attack made by the Scyther.
"Dang... I knew it was too good not being any other Pokemon here..." Gyatsu muttered.
The Scyther bounced left and right. "Come on, Rescuer scum! Is that all you've got!?" Its eyes shone a bright red.
Ryaku slightly fanned his claws out, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Without hesitating, Gyatsu raised his paw and blasted an Aura Sphere at the Scyther in an attempt to try and take him out.
The Scyther tried to dodge the blast, but it ended up nicking one of his claws. "Gah! You'll pay for that, punk!" He rushed up to the Riolu again, and slashed.
Meanwhile, the Abra felt the tree crushing his body. "Help me!"
((Quick! You have the next 15 posts to defeat Scyther and rescue Abra. Hint: Use teamwork!))
Ryaku lept over Gyatsu and used Night Slash. His claws emanated a black aura as he started slashing at the Scyther.
Gyatsu wasn't fast ashe he tried to dodge. The Scyther's claw hit him in the shoulder, and Gyatsu grabbed it as he slid back towards Ryaku.
"Gah..." He said in pain. Gyatsu then thought of something. "Hey... he's a flying and bug type... Aren't flying types weak to ice-type moves?" There was a hint in what Gyatsu was saying.
Ryaku spun around in the air and fired an Ice Beam at Scyther.
The Scyther got hit by Ryaku's Night Slash, still recovering from his previous attack. "Why you little-!" He looked up in the air and saw the ice coming towards him. "No!" The beam hit him dead-on, and he felt himself freeze up.
As the Scyther became encased in the ice, Gyatsu rushed forward and prepared to attack.
"Force Palm!" He shouted as his paw landed right into the Scyther's chest.
The Scyther couldn't move, and the final blow from the Force Palm finished him. He collapsed to the ground, half incased in ice.
"Yes!" Gyatsu shouted. "Now come on, we need to get that tree off of Abra!"
He rushed over to the trees and maneuvered around them until he found the one that Abra was stuck under.
"Don't worry, we're here" Gyatsu said to the trapped Abra. "Ryaku! Come and slice this tree up, quick!"
"Thank you!" The Abra exclaimed with delight, despite the pain. He was glad some people had finally found him.
"Of course..." he replied, running over to the tree. He closed his claws and began to jab at the tree with lightning-fast speed. The tree was snapped in two near where the Abra was trapped. Ryaku lifted the two halves off and away from Abra.
"All right then..." Gyatsu said to himself. He picked up Abra and placed him on his back. "Now, let's get out of here!"
"Thank you so much!" The Abra said, happily. "However, I think I still have enough strength to teleport us out of here. Would you like me to try?"
"Please do..... I'm exhausted and I think Gyatsu is as well...." Ryaku replied.
"Ok, here we go!" The Abra focused his energy, and the two rescuers and the Abra ((seeing as ANDREWSCH didn't do much.)) were inveloped in a blue sphere, and were gone.

"Yeah..." Gyatsu agreed. He twinged in pain and held his shoulder. "Looks like I didn't get out without a scratch, eh?" He laughed a bit, and twinged in pain again.

"Not this time..." Ryaku chuckled a little.
"I'll fix that when we get back to the base..."
"Yeah... But first, we need to get Abra to Alakazam." Gyatsu said as he looked around the Pokemon Square.
The three Pokemon came out of the sphere just inside of Pokemon Square. Alakazam was waiting for them. "Well done." He said, smiling. "It seems you have succeeded in your first Rescue Mission. I can now call Team Koorikaze an official Rescue Team."
The Abra looked up at the two older Pokemon. "Thank you, again!" He said, greatfully. "This isn't much, but I hope you can use it well." He handed Gyatsu an Escape Orb. "It's an Escape Orb. I would have used it myself, but I was trapped so that I couldn't reach it. Anyway, I better get going. Good luck on being a new Rescue Team!" He and Alakazam teleported away.
"Heh... Well, let's head back to the base, Ryaku." Gyatsu said as he was still holding his shoulder.
"Alright..... I'll fix your shoulder when we get back..." he smiled slightly.
"Thanks..." Gyatsu said to him as they began walking back towards the base.
"Well... That was a good mission." Gyatsu thought silently to himself. "Still... No clues to who I might be, yet... Oh, well..."
Alakazam quickly teleported inside the base of Team Koorikaze, left the reward Poke, and left again.

When they got to the base, there was a bag of Pokè on the doorstep.
"Look.... It's our payment for the resuce mission..." Ryaku said, picking it up and carrying it inside. He sat it on the table and walked over to his bag. He pulled out some gauze.
"Alright... Let's heal that shoulder.... Ryaku wrapped the gauze around Gyatsu's shoulder and tied it. He got a bag from under the cabinet and filled it full of ice and sat it on Gyatsu's shoulder.
As they walked up to the base door, Gyatsu looked in he door's window and saw the money on the table.
"I see that Alakazam has already left us our reward money..." Gyatsu said as he opened the door.

Fugue flew through Pokemon Square, trying to find the base for the Explorer Team he planned to join, InfernoBlaze.
((New Arc planned (this is not the arc I was thinking of earlier, as I think it should come later, as you need more experience)! The traveling rock band, PokeRock, is going to stage a live presentation at Pokemon Square! However, there may be evil involved with this concert, as rumors are traveling that an evil group is planning to kill the band!
What will happen next? You will impact this...))

An excited Pichu was putting flyers all over the Pokemon Square. His favorite rock band was coming to Pokemon Square to perform, and from across the ocean! He smiled. PokeRock's new album would be released a few days after their concert at the Square, so he was saving up his money. I can't wait to finally see them! I hope I can get an autograph...

A Lucario woke up from his bed. He got up, and looked around the room. He was on a ship, en route to where their next concert would take place. He walked out and stepped onto the deck, leaning against the railing. "Nothing but blue..." He said in a somewhat raspy voice. He appeared to be in his late teens.
"What's on your mind, Kaku?" The Lucario turned around at hearing his name, and saw a Raichu. The Raichu was a little younger than him. He sighed.
"Nothing, Rakuro... just another dream about him..." He said. The Raichu walked over.
"Come on, I'm sure he doesn't hold a grudge on not being able to join the band." Kaku gave him a look.
"Would you be angry if someone you wanted to join ended up being famous and you ended up being by yourself?" Rakuro opened his mouth to say something, but closed it.
"Good point." Rakuro said, leaning against the rail next to Kaku. "But still, you shouldn't worry so much."
Gyatsu was walking through the Square when he saw the small Pichu putting up the fliers. Curious, he walked over to one of them and looked at it for a minute.
"Hmm... A rock band, eh? Sounds interesting." Gyatsu thought to himself.
"How's your voice feeling, Kaku?" Kaku turned around again to see a Sandslash stretching and a Marowak yawning, both walking over.
"Morning Slash, Mekoro." Kaku said, greeting them. "As for my voice, it's not the best, but it's good enough for the concert."
"That's good." Mekoro said. "We wouldn't want our lead vocalist to have a bad throat when going into a live performance!" Kaku grinned.
"Don't expect that to happen." He said, turning back to face the ocean again.

Ryaku looked at the posters,"Oh yeah... I've heard of them before.... Very famous across the seas.... Expecially in my hometown..... Their lead singer was the reason I taught myself how to sing...." Ryaku said, looking at Lucario in he middle of the poster.
"Ah, I see..." Gyatsu started. "Well, by the looks of it, they'll be here soon." He was looking at the dates that they would be here. They were only a couple days away.
"I can't wait...." Ryaku smiled.
Kaku looked past the bow of the boat and saw that they were approaching land soon. He also saw that there were a lot of people there. They were all cheering for them. "Looks like our day has finally begun." Kaku ran up to the front of the ship, where a microphone was placed. Mekoro ran up to the top deck where the drums were, and Slash and Rakuro were a few feet behind Kaku on either side, with their guitars over their shoulder.
"Thank you for coming!" He said into the microphone, and the sound waves reverberated from the front of the ship. The crowd shouted with joy. Kaku smiled.
Fugue thought he heard some commotion, as if through a microphone. I got nothing better to do, he thought. Might as well check it out.
With that, he made his way to the area where the concert was.
Gyatsu heard the sounds from where they were standing.
"Hey... I think they're here!" Gyatsu said to Ryaku. "Come on, let's go!"
"Alright...." Ryaku replied, running full speed towards the sound of the comotion.
They had made it to the cliff-side, and thats where they saw the large ship floating along the coast line.
"Wow... That's a nice ship..." Gyatsu said in amazement.

((Actually, they're not at where the concert is going to be yet. They're approaching the docks. They're just going to sing a song for those who were there to welcome them))
"I know you want to hear PokeRock right now..." Kaku said, as the crowd's cheers died down. "...But unfortunately, we won't do that." The Pokemon in the crowd exchanged puzzled looks. "Instead, SWITCH!" Immediately, Kaku jumped back, as Rakuro threw the guitar straight up into the air and rushed to the mic. Mekoro jumped down from the upper deck, and Slash dropped his guitar on the deck, running up to the upper deck. Kaku caught the guitar Rakuro threw with expertise, and soon, they had all switched their places.
"Are you ready?!" Rakuro shouted into the mic. The crowd went wild again, and the band got ready to play. Rakuro was going to sing, Kaku was doing lead guitar, Mekoro was on bass, and Slash was playing the drums. They were ready to rock.
"Sweet, they're gonna perform!" Gyatsu said excitedly. This would be the first time he heard their music, so it was natural that he was exited.
"And they've performed their switch!" Ryaku exclaimed.

"Let's rewrite this!" Rakuro shouted to the others, but loud enough so that it could be heard in the mic. They began to play. Rakuro took the mic off the stand and walked back, so he was in between Kaku and Mekoro. "Hey!" The crowd was shouting with excitement. Rakuro raised the mic to his lips.

The crowd continued to yell in joy, and Rakuro began to walk up the upper deck.
"Yuganda zanzou wo keshisaritai no wa

By this time Rakuro was on the upper deck, next to Slash. He jumped off of the deck, landing between Kaku and Mekoro.
"Kepoope! REWRITE-o poope!
Kudaranai chou gensou wasurerareru sonzaikan wo
"Kishikaisei! REWRITE-o poope!
Imi no nai souzo mo kimi wo nasu gendouryoku
Zenshinzenrei wo...
Kure yo!"
The crowd shouted with him on the final part, and the band played the outro. After it was over, everyone who listened ((excluding you RPers, perhaps)) was jumping up and down, shouting and applauding. "Thank you!" Rakuro said into the mic, and high fived the other band members. Slash came down from the upper deck, and joined the other members.
Ryaku was singing along quietly to himself during the song.
Gyatsu was a amazed at how good they were. But soon, he had realized that he knew the song. Maybe even from before he was encased in the ice. he shook the strange feeling and cheered.
"I can't wait for them to perform again later." Ryaku said.
Rakuro handed Kaku the mic, and Kaku gave him back his guitar. "Thanks for coming to listen to us and greet us from coming overseas." He said into the mic. "Be sure to come to our concert in Pokemon Square, two days from now!" The crowd cheered again, and Kaku and the other walked to the back of the ship. "Good job, guys!" He said, with a smile. The others congratulated each other as well.
"Let's just try to play that well at the concert." Rakuro said with a grin. They all walked inside the ship to get something to eat.
"Yeah, they were awesome!" Gyatsu shouted in excitement.
"I know." Ryaku smiled as he started walking away from the pier and back towards the town.
"Now, come on. I wanna see if we can get ready for when they perform in two days!" Gyatsu said as he rushed off back to the base.
"Okay, okay. Wait up!" Ryaku answered as he started running and quickly caught up to Gyatsu.

Fugue listened to the song with an expression of boredom. "Not that great," he muttered to himself as he headed back to the square.

Rakuro and Kaku ate apples while Mekoro and Slash ate oranges. "You know," Slash said, as he finished his orange, "I hope they don't attack us when we get off the ship."
"Yeah." Kaku agreed. "We'll probably dock, sign some autographs, come back into the ship, and rest for the next day. We have to be ready to perform two days from now." The others nodded in agreement.
Meanwhile...
A stowaway, towards the far bottom of the ship, grunted. "They'll regret what they did to me... hehehe... little do they know, I want more then that..."
As the two of them got back to the base, Gyatsu got an interesting idea.
"Hey... Do you think that I could get my guitar signed by one of them?" Gyatsu asked Ryaku. "That would be cool..."

"Hold on, let me grab something really quick." Ryaku repled as he held up one of his claws. He went over to his bag and pulled out a microphone.
"It may not be much, but I want something for them to sign, too." Ryaku said as he went over to the door.

"All right, then let's head down to the dock!" Gyatsu said as he had already started for the door.
Kaku walked out back onto the deck and saw a small crowd of people gathered at the docks. He also realized that the ship had just docked. "So," He turned to the other band members, "who wants to sign, and who doesn't?"
"I'll go with you." Rakuro said, stepping forward. Slash and Mekoro shook their heads.
"Nah, I think I'll pass. I don't want to face the large crowds up close until the concert." Mekoro said, and Slash nodded in agreement. The two went back inside, and Rakuro and Kaku made their way to the front of the ship.
The two of them had made it down to the dock, and they saw that there was a crowd already forming.
"Man, it's going to take forever to get to them..." Gyatsu said in some disappointment.
"I wonder if there's a way to lure the crowd away..." Ryaku replied as he began thinking.
"Hmm... I really don't know..." Gyatsu said while he tried to think. So far, he couldn't come up with anything that might work.
"Ah, well.... We might as well go stand in line..." Ryaku said as he began walking down towards the docks.
"Yeah..." Gyatsu agreed. He walked over and got right behind the last Pokemon in the line. "Man, this is going to take a while..."
"Hmmm..... Oh look! Is that them over there?" Ryaku yelled loud enough for the rest of the Pokemon to hear it and pointed somewhere away from the ship.
Half of the crowd took the bait and began to run towards the mountains, in search of the band. On the ship, Rakuro and Kaku stared at them quizically. "Their loss." Rakuro mumbled, and started towards the front of the line to begin signings. Kaku followed, but went to the back of the line instead. He felt generous that day.
Gyatsu noticed that one of the band members was coming towards the back of the line.
"Whoa, one of the members is coming back here!" Gyatsu exclaimed in amazement.
Ryaku gasped,"You're right!"
Kaku ended up where Ryaku and Gyatsu were ((Big surprise! ::))). "Hey, would you like me to sign something?" He asked them.
"Sure!" Gyatsu said happily as he held out his guitar. He was now really exited.
"No problem!" Kaku said with a smile. He took a pen out and signed the guitar. He then turned to Ryaku. "You?"
"Will you sign this microphone please?" he asked and held it out to Kaku.
"Sure." Kaku said, grinning. He signed the microphone with his pen. He turned around to start going down the line, when his eyes caught something on the upper deck. He dropped his pen. It can't be... He saw a Gengar standing on the top of deck, a malicious grin spread across his face. Kaku blinked and he was gone. I must be hallucinating...
Gyaysu noticed that he had paused a moment, and looked up where Kaku was looking.
"What the...? Who's that? Gyatsu thought to himself.
"Something wrong, Gyatsu?" Ryaku asked as he looked at him. He was staring somewhere else, toward the ship. Ryaku looked and didn't notice anything.
"Oh... Nothing. Everything's fine..." Gyatsu said. But he was still curious to who that was.

Kaku shook his head, and picked up the pen he had dropped. "Sorry about that." He apologized to no one in particular. He began to sign other people's objects, becoming cheerful again. Or so it seemed.

Background: A light-hearted Squirtle, who loves rescuing for saving others. Will do anything to save his friends and others around him. He cannot stand evil, and wants to purify the world. His parents abandoned him when he was young, and has been living on his own for the past ten years. He then found the Team Koorikaze, and felt as if he could join a Rescue Team to save others. And so his story began...

As Kaku left the area of the line that Gyatsu and Ryaku were at, a Squirtle walked up to the Riolu and Weavile. "Hey, umm..." He started nervously. "...Are you the two members of Team Koorkaze?"
"Uh, yes, we are. Do you need something?" Gyatsu asked the Squirtle, wondering what he wanted.
Mori got some confidence in his system. "I noticed you guys had an opening in your Rescue Team, and I wondered if I could join. Is that ok?"
"Oh, well, of course." Gyatsu answered him. "It's always good to have some help." He smiled.
Mori bowed his head in appreciation. "Thank you so much! You don't know how much this means to me." He looked back up. "So those are two of the members from PokeRock?"
"Yes.... They're both from PokeRock...."Ryaku replied.
Mori smiled. "I can't wait until they perform in two days!" He then looked up at the sky. "Huh... it's starting to get late. The sun's already about to set." He pointed to the horizon, where the sun met with the sea. A mix of red, orange, and yellow could be seen from that point.
Kaku and Rakuro had finished with autographs, and the crowd had dispersed. Only Gyatsu, Ryaku, and Mori remained. "The day is over." Kaku said with finality, looking at the beautiful sunset. Rakuro nodded in agreement.
"Hey, we're the only ones left." Ryaku noticed as he looked around.
"Yeah..." Gyatsu said. He then turned to the Squirtle. "Well, if you need a place to stay, we have room at our base."
Mori looked at Gyatsu. "Thanks, so much." He stuck a hand out. "I'm Mori. What's your name?"
"I'm Gyatsu, and this is Ryaku." Gyatsu answered him. "Now come on, we need to see if there's an extra bed laying around the base somewhere." He turned to head back towards the base.
Ryaku followed. It was getting late indeed, just as Mori had said.
Mori nodded, and began to follow Gyatsu. Kaku and Rakuro walked back inside the ship, and got ready to go to bed. And in a forrest, not too far away from where Team Koorikaze was, a pair of eyes shot out through the darkness. "Kekeke... soon... very soon, it shall happen..." He was preparing.
The sun set beyond the horizon, and night fell over Pokemon Square.
They had made it back to the base, and Gyatsu was searching through one of the larger closets on the lower level.
"Ah! I found one." Gyatsu said as he pulled out a folded up floor mattress. "Sorry, but this is all I got... It's still kinda comfortable."
"No, it's great!" Mori said, happily. He took the matress gladly. "Yeah, this'll be way better than sleeping on the ground!"
"I sleep on the couch... It doubles as a bed... You can just set your stuff wherever you please...." Ryaku said as he walked over to his bed and put the microphone on his nightstand.
"Thanks!" Mori said, nodding to Ryaku. He found a comfortable corner of the room, and set his mattress and bag down there. He then noticed Gyatsu's guitar, and Ryaku's microphone. "You play?"
"Not really... I just sing sometimes..." Ryaku replied as he looked at he microphone.
"Well, I do a bit..." Gyatsu replied. He looked down at it. He had gotten it to practice with, but in reality, he had only played it a few times. He was, of course, still good.
"I play the violin." Mori said, taking it along with the bow out of his pack. "Not good for bands, but I play it when I'm bored, and I used to do it to get money. I also know how to play the guitar a bit, but I never had the money to get one after my parents left me." He looked down at the floor. "Barely had enough money to keep myself alive." He muttered. He then looked back up, happy again. "But that's behind me!"
"It's amazing how he can stay so positive...." Ryaku thought as he looked a Mori.
Mori set up his mattress, and put his instruments away. When he was done, he noticed Ryaku looking at him. "Something wrong?"
"Hmm... He must've gone through a lot then..." Gyatsu thought to himself. Then his thoughts went to Mori's violin. Gyatsu suddenly remembered another song. He remembered that in it, there was an interesting violin section.

"It's.... nothing... I just zoned out is all." he replied as he quit looking at him and turned to Gyatsu.

Mori nodded at Ryaku's statement. "Ok..." He said, and continued to lay things out.
"Oh, right, I do." Gyatsu said as he went over to a shelf. He reached up his paw and rubbed around a high shelf until he found another pair. "Here." He handed the goggles to Mori.
"Thanks." He said, taking the goggles in his hand. He put them on so that the lens rested just above his eyes. He preferred that nothing clouded his vision.

Ryaku dug through his bag for several minutes after Gyatsu handed Mori the goggles.
"Here they are...." Ryaku said as he pulled out a little case. He opened and inside were two white bandanas. He pulled one out and handed it to Mori.
"Thanks, again!" Mori said cheerfully, accepting the scarf. He put it around his neck. "So, am I officially part of the team now?"

"Hai... I mean yes..." Ryaku replied.
"Wow, I sure am glad to finally be part of a Rescue Team!" Mori exclaimed. He began to put the goggles and scarf into his bag. "But I think I'll got to sleep soon. Oh, and don't worry; I know a bit of foreign languages myself." He added with a wink at Ryaku.
Ryaku was a little shocked to hear someone else knew a foreign language, especially his, "That's awesome...." he said, keeping his composure.
"Well, I'll head to bed... So see you two in the morning." Gyatsu said as he began walking upstairs with is guitar. "Night..."
"Good night, Gyatsu." Ryaku said before the Riolu was out of sight.
"Yeah, I think I'll hit the hay as well." Mori said, plopping down on the mattress. "G'night." He said, closing his eyes.

A Marowak ran next to the Gengar from earlier, deep inside the forrest. "And, how are we progressing, Marron?" The ghost creature asked.
"Very good, sire. We are in position for the plan to succeed, as so long the fools continue to hold their attention on the band."
"Kekeke... good." The Gengar dismissed Marron with a wave of his hand, and he left. "Soon... it will all be ours..."

Gyatsu slowly woke up as the sun hit his face. Sitting up, he looked around and swung his legs out of the bed. He yawned, then slid down onto the floor with a perfect landing.
"Ahh..." Gyatsu said as he stretched out a bit.
Ryaku woke up to the sunlight shining on his face. He opened one eye and looked at the window. He sat up and rubbed his eyes. He had fallen asleep last night without realizing it.
"Morning already, eh?"" he thought as he stretched a little.
Gyatsu walked out the door of his room and began downstairs. He saw that Ryaku was already awake.
"Oh, morning..." Gyatsu said, yawning soon after.
"Morning...." he yawned.
Gyatsu looked over. He saw that Mori was still sleeping.
"Heh... Quiet now... Don't want to wake him up yet..." Gyatsu said to Ryaku quietly.
"Right...." Ryaku whispered in reply.
"So... You think I should make some breakfast before he wakes up?" Gyatsu asked quietly as he made it to the bottom of the stairs.
"That would be nice.... Like you did when I moved in...." he replied, smiling.
"Yeah, I'll go start..." Gyatsu said as he headed to the kitchen. "I think I'll try omelets this morning..."
"Alright...." Ryaku replied.
Mori woke up, and looked ouside one of the windows. Hunh... usually I wake up much earlier than this... must be the comfort. He thought as he yawned. "Morning." He said to Gyatsu and Ryaku, as he walked into the kitchen.
Gyatsu turned to see that Mori was awake.
"Oh, morning." Gyatsu replied to Mori.
"What's up?" Mori asked as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
"Ah, I was just going to make omelets for everyone this morning..." Gyatsu replied as he took down a pan from a shelf.
"Really?" Mori asked, a grin on his face. "Thanks, then. It's been awhile since I've had a whole meal, but, I'm used to it now."
"Morning, Mori...." Ryaku said as he pulled out a cube of ice from the freezer.
Gyatsu had to leap up on the counter to reach some of the ingredients he was going to use. He slid back down and went to get a few eggs out of the refrigerator.
"Anything in particular you want in yours?" Gyatsu asked to the both of them.
"Nah." Mori said. "Although if you had some brocolli, that would be great. As for the rest, surprise me." He finished with a smile.
"Can you put some pepper in mine?" Ryaku asked as he took the ice to the table and began to carve it.

Mori took a seat at the table in the kitchen, looking at the others.
Gyatsu went back over to the fridge and took out some broccoli, then he went to get some pepper.
"So, what should we do today?" Mori asked, leaning back in his chair.

Mori nodded. "I see..." He looked out the window. The weather looked bright and sunny, so it would be a perfect day.

Ryaku sat quietly and carved the block of ice. He was finished with it pretty quickly and sat it down on the table. It was a sculpture of PokeRock singing from yesterday.
"I think we should go to the pier after we buy our supplies... I want to see if PokeRock is doing anything special for their big concert tomorrow...." he said after thinking for a few minutes.
Mori sat in awe as he saw Ryaku create the sculpture. "Wow... how'd you do that?"
"With these...." Ryaku said as he moved his claws back and forth.
Mori sweatdropped. "Not quite the answer I was looking for, but ok."

"What answer were you looking for...?" Ryaku said, a little disappointed he hadn't answered the question right.
Mori sighed, twiddling with his chopsticks. "Just forget it. Anyway, I like your idea of going down to the pier after we pick up supplies."
Several minutes later, the smell of warm eggs began wafting out of the kitchen and throughout the base.
"The omelets are almost ready." Gyatsu called out from the kitchen.
Mori smiled in anticipation. "They smell great!" He said.
"Cool...." Ryaku replied as he went over to the stove and put some water on to boil.
Gyatsu just put on the final touches to each one, and then he put them on plates and started carrying them out.
"All right, here we go..." Gyatsu said as he put each plate down. The two had gotten what they had asked for, while Gyatsu just had his plain.
A loud whistle echoed throughout the room. Ryaku took the kettle off of the stove and got two bags and some sugar out of the cabinet. He put the two in the water and made tea. He poured him some in a glass.
"Anyone else want tea?" he asked.
"Sure." Gyatsu said as he took a glass and handed it to Ryaku.
Ryaku poured a glass for Gyatsu,"What about you, Mori?"
"Thanks." Mori said to Gyatsu. "Sure, thanks!" He said to Ryaku, at the mention of tea.
Ryaku got another glass down and poured tea. He grabbed the three glasses and carefully brought them to the table and sat them down, giving one to Gyatsu, one to Mori, and one to himself.
Gyatsu picked up his chop sticks and split them like others usually do. Then something came to his head that almost seemed like a habit.
"Itedakimasu." Gyatsu said as he began to take a bite off of his omelet.
((Don't you mean, "Itadakimasu"?))
Mori nodded, then took a bite of his omelete as well, and also took a sip of his tea. After he drank a bit, he commented. "This is good! Thanks."

"So," Mori said, inbetween bites, "how did you two meet?"
"Well..." Gyatsu started. "We kinda just ran into each other. ... Literally." Gyatsu said with a bit of a laugh. He took another bite of his omelet.
"Yeah.... I was checking the announcements on the billboard and Gyatsu ran right into me...." Ryaku said, taking a bite of his omelete.
"Really?" Mori asked, drinking some of his tea. "I guess that brings a whole new meaning to that phrase." He said with a grin.

Mori continued to eat, and when he was finished with his omelete, he interrupted the silence. "What did your parents say about joining a Rescue Team?"
Fugue made his way to the base of InfernoBlaze and knocked on the door.
Rakuro woke up in his room, and made his way out on deck. He saw Kaku there, leaning over the railing, as always. Rakuro went back inside quickly and put on sunglasses and a cloak. He came back out, and Kaku turned his head. "I'm going out into town." Kaku grinned slightly.
"If you overdress, you'll stick out more than you blend in." Rakuro smirked, and disembarked the ship.
Charcoal answered the door. " Hello," he said at Fugue in an innocent voice," did you come to join?"
"I left my country years ago..... I haven't seen my parents since, so they don't know..." Ryaku repied as he took a sip of tea and took another bite of his omelete.
"Well..." Gyatsu began as he set his cup down. "For me, that wouldn't really matter, because right now, I don't even know who my parents are, seeing that I woke up frozen inside a glacier with hardly any memories..." He said it a little less bluntly than he did when he explained it to Ryaku.
"Well obviously," said Fugue.
"Looks I'm not the only parentless Pokemon around here." Mori said with a solemn smiled. He gazed down into the tea cup, and could see a muddled reflection of himself staring back. If only I could remember... why they left...
"Well, I think we should get ready to head out..." Gyatsu said as he finished his omelet. He took another sip of his tea and sat the empty cup down. "We need to get ready for the concert tomorrow."
Mori nodded, still in a daze. "Sure..."
Gyatsu looked at him for a moment. He could tell something was off.
"Hey... You all right?" Gyatsu asked Mori.
"Yeah..... You look a little down..." Ryaku said as he finished his breakfast and went to put his dishes in the sink.
"Huh?" Mori looked up. "Yeah, I'm fine." He said with his normal energy, and got up with his usual smile. "So, we're going to the pier now?" He asked, trying to change the topic.
"Yeah, but first, we need to head to town to get some supplies." Gyatsu said as he got up and put his dish and cup next to Ryaku's.
"Ok!" Mori said. "Just let me organize my stuff from last night, and I'll be ready." He walked over to where his bag and mattress were, and began to make everything neater.
Ryaku put his goggles on top of his head and waited by the door.
Mori put on his goggles and scarf, and went to the door. "Ready!" He said with a smirk.
Gyatsu adjusted his goggles and headed next to the two of them.
"All right, let's go." Gyatsu said as he opened the door.
Mori nodded, and walked out the door.
"Right..." he replied as he walked out the door.
Gyatsu followed them and closed the door behind him as they headed for Pokemon Square.
"So, what should we pick up?" Mori asked as they walked.
"Well, we might want to get some supplies for any missions while we're out." Gyatsu started. "Plus, maybe even some of those glowsticks for the concert if they have any."
"You have Aura Sphere... That's better than a regular glowstick..." Ryaku said as he looked around at the stores.
"That sounds good." Mori replied to Gyatsu, nodding. "I heard Escape Orbs really come in handy, but that's only if you don't complete the mission or are not rescuing at all. Once you find who you're rescuing, though, you can just tap into the power of your Rescue Badge, and you'll be out of the area." He smiled with his hand behind his head. "But, you knew this already, I'm sure."
Gyatsu listened to the both of them. He had forgotten that Aura Sphere worked well for that.
"Well, I already have one Escape Orb, so we're covered there." Gyatsu started. "So we need to think of something else that might help..."
"Hmm..." Mori started to think. "Well, I know that items in battle help, so maybe we could check if they have Blast Seeds or Quick Seeds. Graveler Rocks and Iron Thorns are also good projectile weapons, so they could help us if we're being followed."
"Hmm..." Gyatsu said as he thought. "I think we might get some iron thorns. How much are they again?"
"Now, I don't know that." Mori said. "I'm not an encyclopedia. Prices go up and down a lot these days, so I'm not exactly sure... though, if I were to guess off the top of my head, I'd say that the price would be around... 500 Poke for ten thorns."
"That's reasonable...." Ryaku added.
Gyatsu looked through his small sack of Poke.
"Well, it looks like I can get quite a few..." Gyatsu said as he closed the sack. "I'm going to go get some. I'll be right back." He walked over to one of the shops. He stopped, then decided to check the Keckleon Shop. "Hi, I'd like to get some Iron Thorns, please."
Ryaku sat down on a bench to wait.
Mori stood near the bench, waiting for Gyatsu to come back.

"Welcome to our shop!" A redish purplish Keckleon greeted. "So, you'd like some Iron thorns, would you? How many would you like?"
"Ten will be good for now, thanks." Gyatsu replied to him. He took out his pouch of Poke. "How much will that be?"
"600 Poke, please!" The Keckleon stated. "Demands have been high for items like this, and they're getting harder to find by the minute! Prices for Iron Thorns, as well as Silver Spikes, should be going up within the next few weeks.
"Ah, I see... Well, the its a good thing I'm getting these now." Gyatsu said as he took out the 600 Poke and handed it to the Keckleon.
The Keckleon gave the Riolu the thorns, and took the money. "Thank you very much!"
"Thanks, have a nice day." Gyatsu said as he began to go back over to the other two.
Mori noticed Gyatsu walking back. "So you got them? How much were they?"
ryaku was laying down on the bench looking at the sky when he finally noticed Gyatsu walking over. He sat up and got off of the bench and stretched.
"Ready to go to the pier now?" he asked as he put his claws behind his head.
"They were 600 for 10 of them. Keckleon said that they've been in high demand recently..." Gyatsu answered Mori. "And yes, we're ready to head to the pier." He put away the Iron Thorns.
"Oh, well it's not as bad as it could have been." Mori said, trying to be optimistic.
"Cool....." Ryaku said as he adjusted his goggles and began walking to the pier.
Mori began to follow Ryaku. He was glad that it wasn't too hot, as the year had just began. It was early winter of 1999 ((As in January or February)), so they still had awhile left before the large festival. He was also glad that the scarf didn't slow him down, and didn't make him too warm. He smiled. Today looked like it was going to be good...
They had now made it down to the pier. He noticed that there wasn't too many others there yet.
"Wow, I can't believe there's so few others here yet." Gyatsu said in surprise.
"Well, that's because the concert isn't until tomorrow." Mori said.

Rakuro walked down the pier, looking at the small waves the sea was making. His eyes shifted a few directions, making sure no one was stalking him. He turned, and started to walk towards the forrests near the pier. Maybe I could find some inspiration there...
Gyatsu noticed Rakuro, but from the distance they were at, he couldn't tell that it was him.
"Hey... Who's that over there?" Gyatsu said as he pointed.
Mori looked over at Rakuro as well, who was going into the forrest. "A Raichu? Hmm... are you thinking it could be Rakuro?"
"Well, it might be..." Gyatsu started. "... Do you think we should see where he's going? You know... Just to make sure everything's okay..."
Mori chuckled slightly. "We're not his bodyguards, but sure. Why not?"

Rakuro was deep into the forrest by this time, and sat on a log. He took out a pen and a notebook, and began to write.

The three of them had now made it to where he was, but then they saw the figure.
"What the...?" Gyatsu whispered to the other two. "Who's that?"
"I'm not sure...." Ryaku whispered.
((Nooo... I was hoping it would take you guys longer to get there... x( Oh well. Never mind.))
The Gengar chuckled slightly. Rakuro turned to face the newcomers. "Who would this be, your personal bodyguard team?" The Gengar laughed again. "You disappoint me, Rakuro. I was expecting better of you." Rakuro frowned, turning his attention back to the Gengar.
"Don't get too cocky, Shane." Rakuro said angrily. "And no, this isn't a team of bodyguards. I don't even know them. And by the way, don't you remember what happened last time?" The being that was called Shane smiled maliciously.
"Yes, I do." Shane said. "And my powers have increased so much, that the bonds that surrounded you won't harm me." In the blink of an eye, Shane had gone to Rakuro, and clutched his throat. "See? I can do whatever I want to you..."
"Hey, let go of him!" Gyatsu shouted as leaped out of the bushes and fired off an Aura Sphere at the Gengar.
Shane frowned and teleported as the sphere was about to hit him. He reappeared next to the Riolu. "You test my patience, boy." He launched a Shadow Ball at Gyatsu.
"Gyatsu, look out!" Mori shouted, jumping out as well.
Gyatsu fell backwards, just barely missing the Shadow Ball.
"Gah... Well, that didn't work..." Gyatsu said as he got back up and back away a bit.
"No one attacks Gyatsu on my watch..." Ryaku muttered as he jumped out from behind the bushes. His claws became covered in a black aura as he started slashing at the Gengar, "Night Slash...." he muttered as he began his assault.
Shane teleported again, and got behind Ryaku. He fired another Shadow Ball, this time at Ryaku.
As Shane did this, Mori came into the action. "Water Gun!" He shot a jet of water at Shane, who teleported again after he did his attack. Damn! He's too fast...
"Wait a minute... If I'm right... I think I can read his aura even if I'm not evolved yet..." Gyatsu suddenly remembered. He closed his eyes and began to focus.
Confusion! Shane shot a blast of dark energy into Gyatsu's mind. They have to face it, I'm too powerful... Rakuro watched from a distance.
What should I do?! I can't fight, I'm too weak, and I can't just leave them here with Shane...
Mori shot another jet of water at Shane, who easily side-stepped it.
Ryaku recovered from the Shadow Ball and launched an Ice Beam.
Gyatsu flinched from the Confusion attack.
"Gah!" Gyatsu said as he held his head. "How do I do this??"
Shane tried to dodge the Ice Beam blast, but it nicked the side of his arm. "Ergh! You'll pay for that!" He focused on Ryaku, and began powering up a Focus Punch. "Take this!" He raced towards Ryaku and punched at him.
As Shane was going at Ryaku, Gyatsu got up and threw himself at him to keep him from hurting Ryaku.
"Never hurt my friend!" Gyatsu said as he flew at him.
Shane got hit by the rogue Riolu. The hit knocked him over, and he slowly got up. "Rapid Spin!" Mori got into his shell and spun at Shane before he could fully get back up. Shane was now a little bit bruised, and he looked at the scenario that he faced.
"You win this time." Shane said with a scowl. "You won't be so lucky next time." He teleported away, and Mori got up and out of his shell.
Gyatsu was panting heavily as he sat up and looked at the three.
"Are you all right?" Gyatsu asked still panting a bit.
Mori nodded. "Yeah, but you don't look to well yourself..." Rakuro walked over, with a smile on his face.
"Thank you for helping me." He said. "I'm sorry to have gotten any of you involved in this."
"Nah, it's all right... We're a rescue team after all." Gyatsu said as he smiled up at him.
Ryaku sighed, seeing as no one was injured badly, "Glad everyone's alright...." he said.
"A Rescue Team?" Rakuro asked. "Wow. Then in that case, I should be really happy that you guys came along when you did. If it had been any other group of Pokemon, I'm not sure what would've happened to me." He glanced around quickly, making sure no one was near.
"Shane has a lot of darkness in him. If you'd like to learn more about it, could you come with me to the diner down at the pier? I think the band and I are in deep waters if Shane has followed us all the way here, so if you could help, I'd be greatly appreciative."
"Well, of course. We'd be glad to help you out." Gyatsu said as he stood up. He brushed some of the dirt out of his fur.
"I'd be honored to...." Ryaku said as he helped Gyatsu up.
Mori nodded. "If the others are in, so am I." Rakuro sighed in relief.
"Thank you, so much." He said, smiling in gratitude. "Let's get going." He began walking out of the forrest.
Gyatsu began to follow him. He had the feeling that some sort of mission was now coming.
Rakuro emerged from the trees, and Mori followed. They then began to proceed towards the area the would eat lunch, and talk about the mystery behind Shane.
Ryaku followed, silently contemplating the events that had just happened in his head. It was like a dream.
They eventually made it to the restaurant, and were seated in a booth in a far corner of the vicinity. After they had been seated, a Clefairy walked up to the four. "What would you like to drink, today?" She asked politely. It was clear that she was their waitress.
"I'll have water, please." Rakuro said.
"Tea please...." Ryaku replied.
"I'll have tea, as well." Mori said as the Clefairy scribbled their orders on her notepad. She turned to Gyatsu.
"And you?"
"I'll also have tea, thanks." Gyatsu said. He still had a small bit of dirt in his fur, but it wasn't really noticeable.
The Clefairy nodded. "I'll be right back out with those." She said with a smile. As she left, Rakuro began to talk.
"As you know, Shane is a Gengar. However, back on the island we came from, he was a Haunter. I guess that during our voyage, he evolved. Shane originally wanted to be in our band, but we declined his offer. We already had four people in our band, and we had signed a record deal. We didn't want to hurt his feelings, or anything; it just wasn't possible at the time." Rakuro stopped momentarily as the Clefairy brought the drinks, and set them across the table.
"Do you know what you'd like to eat, or should I come back a little later?" She asked.

"I'll still need a moment to decide." Gyatsu replied to the Clefairy.

" Ok then," Charcoal replied," Let's pick up some supplies," he added, walking.
Fugue rolled his eyes and followed.

" 3 Oran berries and 2 Apples, please," Charcoal said when they got to the Keckleon shop.
"Hmm... So he's been going after you guys for a while, huh?" Gyatsu started. "And what's more, he's trying to kill you... Something just doesn't seem right... Something doesn't seem right at all..."

"That'll be 300 Poke, please!" A Keckleon said as he gathered the goods.

"So, have we decided what we want?" She asked cheerfully.
"I'll just have a salad." Mori said, still kind of full from the omelete breakfast.
"Same here." Rakuro said.

"I think I know what that might be..." Gyatsu said as he heard about the dreams. "It's probably Shane using Nightmare on him..."
"Huh..." Rakuro thought. "If that's the case, then we probably haven't seen the last of him. He's probably going to try to ruin the concert. However, I think it's part of something much more that just that..."
"Yeah, but the problem is that we don't know what..." Gyatsu mentioned as he picked up his tea and sipped a bit of it.
"Like Gyatsu said, it's either that or Dream Eater... If he's going to ruin the concert, he's probably going to try and do anything he can to you guys..." Ryaku said.
Rakuro looked down in the water. "Then why's he drawing it out? Why doesn't he just finish right now, instead of making us wait like this?" Mori took a sip of his tea as well.
"This is confusing me, as well..." Gyatsu said as he set his cup down.
"I think it's because he wants you to suffer like he did..." Ryaku said as he finally took a sip of his own tea.
Rakuro nodded solemnly. "I can't help but think that's true... is there anyway to avoid that?"
"Not sure now... If this has been going on for a year, then I don't know how you would avoid it..." Gyatsu said as he closed his eyes and kept on thinking.
"So..." Rakuro took a sip of his water. "...I guess this is it." Mori slammed his hands on the table.
"So that's it?" He asked angrily. "You're giving up just like that?!"
"But if it's been going on for a year, I'm not sure if I can-!"
"A year?!" Mori scoffed. "I've been homeless for the last nine years! I've been traveling from place to place, barely surviving. I've almost died a few times. But did I give up?! No! You shouldn't either!" He settled down a bit, and sighed. "If you want to give up, then be my guest. I just don't think it's time for you to leave this world yet." Rakuro looked down in thought.
Gyatsu looked at the Squirtle. He was amazed at how determined he seemed now.
Ryaku looked over to him, and then back to the ice floating around in his tea.
"You're right..." Rakuro said after awhile. "The only problem is, I don't know what to do." Mori sighed.
"Well, we have to think of something..."
"Yeah..." Gyatsu said as he began to think. So far, nothing came to his mind.
"Maybe we could take your place at the concert or something... Or stage a fake kidnapping...." Ryaku said outloud as he brainstormed.
Rakuro thought as well. "Hmm... maybe we could somehow lure Shane and his gang into a trap of somesort..." Mori snapped his fingers.
"I've got it! We'll inform Alakazam of Team ACT about this! Maybe he could help us with our problem."
"Of course, he might be able to help us out." Gyatsu said as he was about to pick up his cup, but stopped as he heard Rakuro's suggestion.
The Clefairy came with a tray, and set down the food. "Here you go, enjoy." She said cheerfully, and she walked away.
"Arigato..." Ryaku muttered as he she walked off.
Gyatsu slid his bowl a bit closer to him and picked up the chopsticks that came with them.
"Itadakimasu." Gyatsu said as he split the chopsticks and began to eat a bit.

Mori and Rakuro nodded as they began to eat their salads.
Ryaku began eating his fish.
Gyatsu started to silently eat his ramen.

The Clefairy that served Rakuro and the members of Team Koorikaze led the two to a booth behind the others. Rakuro noticed how close those two were to them. Hmm... I've got to choose my words carefully... they might be spies for Shane. Mori stopped eating momentarily to notice the Raichu's awareness, then continued to munch on his salad.
" So what are you hungry for?" Charcoal asked Fugue when they were seated.

Gyatsu was listening to the Pokemon in the booth near theirs. He noticed that Rakuro had gotten a bit quiet, and he thought it was from the two other Pokemon. But Gyatsu noticed that he recognized the voice of one of them.
"Don't worry, they're safe..." Gyatsu said quietly to Rakuro. "That's the other rescue team that's here in town."

Ryaku kept staring at the ice floating around in his tea. He was not only listening to Gyatsu, but was also trying to eavesdrop on the coversation the other two Pokemon behind them were having.

Leslie pulls up a seat and indicates Wolf to get another one for himself.
"So what's the meaning of this Les?" Wolf asked.
"I think we need to start a rescue team, you know, a team to rescue the pokemon that are in need." Leslie replied.

"Can I take your orders?" A Jigglypuff waitress asked, pen with checkpaper.
"Umm, I'll have the Sea Kingler Pizza with a...Miltank Moo Juice." Leslie answered.
"I'll just have some Poke Cola." Wolf said.
"Ok, your orders will be just in a few!" The waitress said happily.
Wolf twitched his ears that motioned toward another Riolu and a Weaville.
"Wonder what they are talking about..."

Mori and Rakuro finished the rest of their meal in silence. After a while, Rakuro said, "Where could we find Alakazam?" Mori pondered this.
"...Maybe we could ask Elder Whiscash." He told Ryaku and Gyatsu. "He knows a lot, and where Pokemon usually hang out at. What do you think?"
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." Gyatsu said as he put his bowl down from finishing off the soup that the ramen was in.
The Clefairy came back and took their plates, and dropped off the check. Mori reached for it, but Rakuro snatched it first. "I have plenty of money, so don't worry." He said with a grin. The Clefairy came back and took it. "So, are we ready to go?"
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea." Gyatsu said as he stretched in his seat a bit.
"Yes...." Ryaku replied as he got up.

Gyatsu also stood up, stretching out a bit more. He looked back at the other two Pokemon that were in the booth behind them, but only for about a second.

Ryaku noticed Gyatsu looking at the Pokemon that were sitting behind them, but decided to pay it no mind.
Rakuro and Mori both stood up. While Rakuro walked away, Mori stopped to see Ryaku and Gyatsu. "What's up?"
"Oh... Nothing..." Gyatsu said as he turned a bit. "Come on, let's go see Elder Whiscash."

((There is currently a Riolu and a Lucario in this RP. I don't really like the idea of having more than one Riolu - or any other Pokemon - in the RP. (But of course, since your other character is a Pikachu, that rule may change in the future...)))

Shane teleported to an area of the woods near Mt. Freeze. There was some frost on the trees, and it was fairly dark due to the dense trees in the area. He had arrived in a clearing, and checked for any unwanted visitors. His eyes landed on a Sableye. At first he got into a fighting stance, but then relaxed when he realized who it was. He sighed. "I'm glad you're here to welcome me. We have some business to take care of..."
"Right." The Sableye said walking over to Shane. "So...what mischief do you want me to cause for today?" He said giving an evil smile.

Shane smirked. "Wonderful to have you hired for me. I have no doubt your talents will come in use for our goals." The Gengar suddenly became serious. "You are aware of PokeRock's performance tomorrow night, aren't you?"
"Um...sure, let's just say I do." He said a bit nervous but then gave a little smile. "Just kidding, I just wanted to play around for a moment there. I've heard about the concert."
"Our job is to keep PokeRock from performing tomorrow," Shane said, paying no attention to Mark's "joke". "I have a score to settle with Kaku, and I wish for my revenge to be fast and fulfilling. However, there is a group of Pokemon that have proved to be a nuisance. I'm afraid they might interfere. Tonight, you shall meet with another of my men outside their base. You will then take them into custody. If they resist," Shane stepped closer to Mark, so that there was but an inch of space between them, "do not hold back. Understood?"
"Yes, sir." He said in a much more sereous tone but then quickly returned to his normal, mischeivious voice. "So when do I start?"

"I don't know about me, but something tells me something bad is being plotted there." Wolf thought.
"Something bothering you Wolf?" Leslie asked.
"No, no no, nothing is wrong. Anyway, continue on with this...proposal."
"Well, I always have dreamed of helping Pokemon, and I think it would be a great help to everybody around here!"
"Well, maybe it won't be that bad."
"Of course not! So, what do you say?"
"Hmm....................oh fine! Whatever, we'll do it! Consider it done Les!"
"Oh Wolf, that's great news! We'll have to head over to the Post Office to pick up our Starter Kit."
"Alright, and look, here's our food."
"One Sea Kingler Pizza, Miltank Moo Juice, and Poke Cola served! Enjoy!" The Jigglypuff announced happily.
As Leslie began taking fast bites out of her pizza, Wolf casually drank his Poke Cola and kept glancing at Mt.Freeze.
"I need to get up there soon."
"For now, stay hidden," Shane commanded. "Do whatever you want until the sun sets. After that, get into position." The Gengar then told everything he knew about the base and where to set up to the Sableye.
"Oh...alright." Mark said walking off after the conversation dissapointed that he'd have to wait. Patience wasn't his greatest friend. He went off even further into the forest and started cutting down random trees using his Shadow Claw attack.
Shane smiled as Mark left. Kekeke... that went better than expected... He then heard the falling of trees in the distance, and the smile dropped from his face. Though, I could have told him to be a little more inconspicuous.
After Wolf and Leslie finished their food, Leslie payed for the meal and they both headed towards the Pelliper Post Office. They walked in and noticed that the booths were a bit high. Leslie tried to raise herself up and said,
"Hello?"
"What do you want amigo?" A Pelliper rambunctionsly said.
"Um, we are starting a rescue team-"
"Go ahead and fill out these forms!"
Wolf and Leslie wrote info down and signed some places until it got to a part where it said, "Team Name"
"What are we going to call it?" Leslie asked.
".........I know. It was a name I gave to one of my necklaces, it was a wolf fang with a fire blazing around it. It was called, "Flammo Cannisus", which meant, "Flame Wolf Fang."
"Well how about we call our team name, "Fire Fang"?"
"I like it Les."
So Wolf wrote "Fire Fang" on the blank line, folded it in half, and gave it to the Pelliper.
"Thank you, here is your starter kit."
The Pelliper handed them a box, inside were a couple of headbands, two rescue badges, and a few oran berries. Leslie smiled at Wolf and said, "Well, let's get to work!"
Along the way back to their new base, Wolf spotted a Squirtle heading towards a lake. "What is he up to?"
Wolf told Leslie to meet him back at the base, and that he'll catch up on ahead. Wolf ran towards the Squirtle and was about to call to him when he tripped over a stone and fell into a hole to the right of the cement.
"OW! HELP! OW OW OW!"
Ic// Blast was walking around the town. He was bored, and was looking for something to do.
Wolf was in serious pain, he hit his kneecap on the rocky floor in the hole and could not stand up alone.
Well this is just perfect, he thought. I was going to be on a rescue team and now I'm the one needed to be rescued.
Wolf looked back and didn't see the Squirtle in sight. When he turned around, he noticed a Zangoose, walking around the town.
"HEY! HEY YOU! HELP ME! GET ME OUT OF HERE PLEASE!" Wolf shouted to the Zangoose.
Blast heard the cry for help. He looked around, at first he didn't see anything. He started running to where he heard the sound. Still, nothing. Then, he looked down. He saw a pokemon down in a hole. Not really sure what he should do, since he wasn't on a rescue team, he called down to make sure the pokemon was alright.
"Are you okay?" He yelled.
"I think so, but I think I broke my kneecap." Wolf said with pain.
"Can you get me out of here?"
Blast looked inside his explorer kit. He did have some rope. He tossed it down to see if it was long enough. "Can you reach it?" He asked.
Wolf reached his arms up, trying to grab ahold of the rope. He then had a better idea, although it would hurt. He pushed himself off the ground and when the rope was close, he used his "Crunch" attack to hold on.
"I got it!" Wolf muffled loudly.
"Okay! Hang on!" He then started raising the rope. Slowly at first, then he started pulling harder. The pokemon came up and out of the hole! Maybe I should've thought about a career in rescuing... He thought.
Ooc// I gotta go! Bye!
Wolf let go of the rope when he was finally on the ground. Suddenly, he saw Leslie running over to him.
"Oh my god! Wolf, what happened?" Leslie asked
"I was trying to follow this pokemon, but I tripped and fell into that hole over there. I would have been stuck there if this Zangoose hadn't helped me."
Leslie turned towards the Zangoose and said very sincerely, "Thank you very much for helping out Wolf here. I'm Leslie."
"You know Wolf, for a new rescuer, looks like you need the rescuing to me." Leslie chuckled.
"Be quiet Leslie!"

"That's right! We just barely became one. We're Team Fire Fang! Are you on a rescue team too? I wouldn't be surprised since the way you handled the situation." Leslie replied.

"No, I'm actually on an explorer team. Team Infernoblaze." He replied.
"Oh..." Leslie was shocked. The way she learned about Explorers that they were filthy, greedy, and selfish people who cared about nothing but the money. This didn't seem like an Explorer.
"Are...are you sure, this isn't a joke?"
"No, it isn't actually." He looked embarrassed, and looked to see if anyone on his team, was watching.

ooc//That's what explorers are in it for the riches, it also says on one of the infernoblaze's members is evil, so he is an explorers.

"Alright, Thunderbolt!" Wolf let loose a surging bolt of lightning directly at Blast.
Blast quickly jumped out of the way. He then rushed towards wolf with his claws extended. He quickly struck with a crush claw.
"GAAH!" Wolf got slashed across his right arm, leaving him in pain. He tried to get up, when he suddenly realized that the ground was wet from the Lake.
"Hmm, aha!" Wolf attacked the wet ground with a Thunderbolt, and it followed a path that was heading into Blast.
Blast got hit by the thunderbolt. He was somewhat stunned.
Wolf chuckled to himself and ran over to Blast to help him up.
"Sorry about that, didn't mean it to hurt that much. But hey, nice battle! We definitely need to hang out sometime." Wolf offered an Oran Berry to Blast as he ate one himself.

Gyatsu squinted as he looked around, seeing that his eyes were adjusted to the bit darkened interior of the restaurant. He followed the other as they began to head towards where Elder Whiscash was.

Just then, Wolf noticed a Riolu walking in his path.
"Hey excuse me? Are you looking for a Squirtle about ye high?" Wolf motioned with his hand.
Blast took the berry and ate it. "Thank you." He said as the Riolu walked by.

Lesie was very frustrated that Wolf got himself ahead of things, but quickly started to meditate.

"Just wait here for a sec, I'll be right back!" Wolf and Leslie quickly ran to their base, placed their starter kit away, and quickly joined up with Blast.
"Wanna head up to Mt.Freeze?" Wolf asked, hoping to get to see what's going on up there.
Ic// "Sure I don't mind." He hoped that he wouldn't see his other teamates on the way.
So it was settled. Wolf and Leslie packed a couple of Oran Berries, one revival, and their Rescue Badge in case something went wrong.
"You getting anything?"
"I have everything I need already." Blast replied.
Mark took a short break from taking down the trees; he looked around for a moment and noticed that a good bit of trees were taken down. "Heh, time sure does fly when you're having fun." He said to himself.
((Hey, I'm not always on!! I have homework and school, just like everyone else. Plus, I won't be on much this semester, since I have a LOT going on. Just to make this clear, I said it would help the RP if Blast joined InfernoBlaze. He didn't necessarily have to. Not all Explorers are evil. Only Fugue has other plans.

Mori and Rakuro continued to walk until they reached Whishcash's pond. Talking to Whiscash was the person they needed to see; Alakazam.

"Let's go check it out!" Wolf said eagerly.
Wolf ran up ahead into the forest.
"Wolf! WOLF! Wo-oh not again. Someday, I'm gonna have to strap a leash on to his neck when we go on missions like these. Blast, can you catch up to him, I'm not that fast."
"yeah, I can find him." Blast went off to look for Wolf.
Mark heard noises and quickly jumped up into the trees so he couldn't be seen. Now who else would want to come up here?...
Blast was going around the forest looking behind trees, inside bushes, up trees, anything he could think of.
Then he decided to call out his name: "WOLF! WHERE ARE YOU?"
Shane heard the loud noise of rampaging footsteps. Unwanted guests? He began to teleport to where he heard the noises.
Wolf heard Blast call for him. He decided to turn around when he noticed a dark shadow, looming in the tree. "Maybe I can surprise it..." He concentrated then roared as he leaped through the sky, sailed towards the figure, and crunched on his leg.
Shane appeared behind Mark and Wolf. He grinned. "Well well well... What do we have here?"
The crunch landed right on his leg. "Yeowwwwww!!!" He shouted trying his best to hold back his tears and then looked at Shane. "Oh...hey." With that, his hand started to glow a dark purple and then quickly slashed at Wolf.
The Gengar leaned against a tree, observing the battle that would soon take place.

When the food was served, Charcoal munched on his burger.
" Sooooo..." he said , turning to Fugue," why did you want to be an explorer?"
"OW!" The shadow claw left three bloody lines across his body. Wolf was enraged. He fought back with a Thunderbolt attack towards the branch, hoping to eletrucute Mark.

Leslie heard Wolf's scream of pain.
"Wolf?! I'm coming!" Leslie ran as fast she could and saw the battle that was happening between Wolf and a Sableye. She then noticed a Gengar leaing against a tree. She snuck up around and then,
"PSYBEAM!" A beam of psychic energy let loose from Leslie's hands and hit Gengar square in the back
((Godmodding; you didn't give me a chance to avoid your attack.))
Shane teleported behind Leslie, sensing her presence. The Psybeam hit through the air a second after he teleported. "And who do you think you are?" He whispered angrily behind the Kirlia. He began to charge up a Shadow Ball.
Mark was one step ahead of Wolf. A thunderbolt straight for me? Hah...that was a waste of using detect. He had used detect to see what was coming next and he easily dodged the attack. He then retaliated by sending a shadow ball at Wolf.
Leslie was speechless, and scared. Why? Well, maybe it's because a Gengar was about to seriously hurt her with a shadow ball. Leslie had an idea, she took a deep breath, and whipped around. She faced Gengar instantly and used Force Palm.
Meanwhile, Wolf barely dodged the Shadow Ball and tried to land another Crunch.

Shane brought his Shadow Ball up and defended himself from the Force Palm. He jumped backwards to increase the distance between them. "Nice try..."
Mark jumped out of the way of the attack. "Not this time." He used his shadow claw again on Wolf.
Perfect, just how I predicted. Wolf spun around and stopped the Shadow Claw with his teeth. With Mark dead in front of him, he let loose a Thunderbolt, directly at his chest.
Leslie used Psybeam again, but this time at the tree beside the Gengar, knocking it towards the gengar's direction.
Shane teleported as the tree fell, and went on top of it. As it fell, he began to charge up his fist, focusing on the Kirlia. When the tree collapsed, Shane jumped off, and ran up to Leslie, punching at her. Focus Punch!
Mark had another detect used just in time to see this coming, he jumped up and over Wolf, ripping his arm out of Wolf's mouth wincing at the pain it caused. Well...that was close. I think I need to get sereous. With that, his entire body started to glow a very dark purple. "Shane, I sudgest you get out of here for a moment."
Leslie ducked under the Focus Punch and used Force Palm dead center at Shane's body. Leslie also noticed that Mark was turning purple, and she knew something was going to happen.
"Wolf, get out of there!"
Wolf noticed too, and he saw the fallen tree that was next to Mark. He thought up of one more idea. While Mark was charging, Wolf used all of his might to pick up the tree, and threw it at Mark where he was vulnerable.
"I like money," replied Fugue.
Shane disappeared, and seemed to be nowhere near the battle at all. I should take heed to Mark's advice...
Blast was just avoiding all of the attacks. Because, what chance does a normal type have against a ghost type?

inc// Leslie missed Shane by an inch. Leslie then saw him teleport and was gone.
Well, he's gone, for now. I better go help Blast and Wolf get out of here.
Leslie saw that Blast was beside her, but Wolf, instead of listening to her, was about to attempt one final attack.
"WOLF! NO! DON'T DO IT!"
It was too late, Wolf had already thrown the tree trunk at Mark and....

Ic// "Dark pulse!" He shouted releasing a wave of dark energy from all directions. The tree that was thrown at him was virtually obliterated by the attack as it continued to expand at an alarming rate.

Ic// Blast started running away from the rapidly growing dark pulse.
Wolf was triumphant, his plan had worked. A piece of the tree trunk had flown towards him, and then when he knew it was right, his tail started to glow, and then he shouted,
"IRON TAIL!" He hit the tree trunk with such force, it blasted through the Dark Pulse and zoomed towards Mark.
Well, I have to admit, that kid's got some guts... Blast thought.
Blast followed quickly. Once he caught up to them, he asked Wolf, "Why do you have to do that? How do you know the pokemon didn't need rescued? " He seemed a little ticked off.
Blast looked a little confused. "...Umm....Well, if we could find a way to contact the band members and let them know about this "Sabotage" then I think they can be prepared and on the lookout for anything fishy." He suggested.

Ic// Hmm...Well, what to do now? He wandered back to town, and went to the docks to make sure that Leslie, or Wolf didn't get into trouble. Well...He was more concerned about Wolf.
Blast heard the conversation. So they knew about it? Well...most of it.....Hmm...
Blast heard the last bit. He went to make it look like he was just coming to see them. "Hi, how'd it go?" He asked.
"Okay then. I'll go.' Blast went to town-square to rally everybody for a counter-attack.
Blast went to the Town-square and started convincing all of the pokemon that Mark and Shane were gonna sabotage the performance. They got together to form a plan for a counter-attack.
The plan was simple. All the pokemon will pay little attention to the performance. that way they can focus on watching for Shane and Mark, or anything suspicious. Then the word will be passed on to Blast or Wolf and Leslie, and then they will trap Shane and Mark.
Hopefully it will work.

" Figures," Charcoal said to himself after Fugue's reply.
He finished eating. " Let's go," he added.

Fugue quickly gulped down his food and followed Charcoal.

Shane sat on top of a tree branch, thinking on how to put his plan into motion.

Alakazam and Elder Whiscash were talking in a hushed tone. "Do you really believe that they are those Pokemon?" Alakazam asked.
"No question. I have talked it over with Xatu, and he agrees. He feels the same energy from those two as he did with the saviors."
"...What about the other one?"
"I-" Whiscash stopped when he saw Rakuro and Team Koorikaze approach. "What seems to be the matter?" He asked them.
Gyatsu was just standing there, wondering what the two of them had been talking about.
((So wait, has Mark had the talk with Shane? Or do we have to do that scene over again?))
((Mark and Shane have already talked, and Mark has destroyed a few trees.))

Ryaku was silent, noticing Alakazam and Whiscash had been whispering back and forth. About what, however, he had no idea.
Rakuro and Mori told Alakazam and Whiscash everything they knew about Shane, his plans, and their ideas. After they finished, Alakazam nodded thoughtfully. "I see... we should do something about this, surely..."
Charcoal kept walking. " Fugue," he said," do you know what we do know?"
He walked into Whiscash Pond.
"Uh... What?" asked Fugue confusedly.
Mori noticed the newcomers, and his perceptiveness kicked in. "Hey, didn't I see you two at the restaurant at the pier earlier today? What do you want here?"
" Uh....." Charcoal started," we don't know what to do as an Explorer team. You see, we're new."
"...Since you do not have any jobs at the moment," Elder Whiscash began, "why don't you help us with our dilema?"
" Sure," Charcoal replied," what do you need?"
Rakuro and the others filled Charcoal and Fugue in on the situation.
Ooc// I'm dropping out... bye.
Gyatsu had also noticed that they were the same two others from the restaurant.
"It'll definitely be a help if they can give us a hand..." Gyatsu thought to himself as they all conversed about the situation.
"The more help, the better, I suppose...." Ryaku thought quietly to himself as he listened to the situation being told again.
PokeRock is very famous. thought Fugue, calculating the situation and figuring a way to take advantage. And presumably, they also have money. I do believe I can work this to my advantage.
But outloud he said, "Of course I would be willing to help... for a price."
Alakazam and Whiscash were taken aback, but Rakuro stepped forward. "How much?"
Mark was hiding at the outskirts of the town in some trees. Man, when does this concert start? I'm so bored right now! I want to make things go boom!
"That would depend on how much you have," said Fugue. "PokeRock is fairly popular. The concert alone could raise quite a bit... How about 20% of any money from the concert?"
"I'll have to talk it over with the rest of PokeRock..." Rakuro started, "...but I'm sure it won't be that hard on them. It's a deal. That is, if you prove to be efficient enough in helping us. For starters, do you have a plan?"
"Hm, all I can think of is to find anyone else who might have something to do with this. So if you could come up with a list of anyone who could have a grudge, and anyone who could or would assist them... Barring that, you could find someone who would be willing to act as a decoy..." Fugue thought about the various possibilities for a plan.
Rakuro pondered this. "The only Pokemon that comes to mind is a Vulpix that used to hang out with Shane when we were back at the island," he said, after thinking for a while. "His name was Katore, if memory serves me correctly. However, that was a few years ago, so he may have turned into a Ninetails by now."
"Would this Katore person be someone Shane would turn to in a time of need?"
"He'd most likely be in on this with him, if that's what you mean." Rakuro said, half-answering Fugue's question.
"If we cannot reach Shane, then perhaps Katore should be the next target... Would you happen to know where he is now?"
Rakuro sighed. "I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I meant to. I haven't seen Katore since I last saw Shane on the island. He would probably be with or near Shane at all times."
"That could be a problem... Well, if you can't hunt the beast, you must lure it out," Fugue muttered.
"Well, how would we do that?" Gyatsu asked as he stepped forward a bit. "What would be good to lure them out form wherever they're hiding?"
Gyatsu just thought for a while, nothing coming to his mind.
"My best bet is that they'll wait for right before or at the concert," Rakuro said, sighing. "So we'll just have to wait until tomorrow."
"That does seem to be the only option," agreed Fugue.
"Let's all meet up here tomorrow a few hours before the concert," Mori said after being silent for awhile. "Sound good?"
Fugue nodded. "Not exactly the most favorable circumstances, but at this point, we don't have a choice."
Ryaku had been silent the whole time. He was using the time to try and figure out some sort of plan.
"Well, well, look who it is," said Fugue, who had been standing there silently. "Shane and Katore, I presume? And who is this?" he said, indicating Mark.
"Why don't you learn to shut up?" Shane asked angrily, shooting a Shadow Ball at the Murkrow.
Fugue took to the skies to avoid the attack. He hovered in the air.
"Temper, Shane, temper," he taunted. "Your plan will never work if you can't learn to control yourself."
" You two, quit it!" Charcoal exclamed. " Or ELSE!"
"Or else what?" asked Fugue. "Besides, I'm only avoiding attacks. I haven't hurt him. Yet."
"Dark Pulse!!" Shane shouted, shooting blasts of dark energy at the Murkrow in the air.
Fugue flew around, avoiding the blasts. However, one hit him, sending him plummeting to the ground. He managed to stop himself from hitting the earth and hovered in the air.
"That's it," he muttered angrily. "Shadow Ball!"
A ball of dark energy was sent flying at Shane.
Shane teleported just in the nick of time to avoid the attack, and reappeared behind Fugue. "Shadow Claw!" He sharpened his claws, and swiped at the Murkrow.
Fugue managed to fly out of the way.
"Toxic!" he said, firing a glob of poisonous acid.
"Dark Pulse!" Shane shouted, and the dark energy waves he had emitted destroyed the acid, but his attack disinegrated (Sp?) as well. "It seems we're evenly matched." As soon as the Gengar said this, Katore jumped up and spewed a jet of flames at the airborne Murkrow.
Fugue was hit directly by the flames. He landed on a tree and frowned.
"Two against one? That's hardly fair," he commented. "Although I don't supposed you ever really cared for fairness. Shadow Ball!"
He fired two attacks, one at Katore, one at Shane.
Katore jumped out of the way, but his hurt leg caused him to stumble a bit. Shane, on the other hand, teleported again, this time to right next to Katore.
"Toxic!" said Fugue, sending more of the acid at the two. Then, he said "Shadow Ball," sending a second attack as well.
Katore shot another jet of flames at the toxic attack, causing it to burst into flames. However, the flames grew higher, so Shane and Katore didn't see the Shadow Ball attacks coming, and they both got hit. Katore fell to the ground, but Shane remained standing. "SHADOW BALL!!" He yelled, becoming infurious. He created a large mass of dark matter, and shot it at the Murkrow.
"Persistent little freak," muttered Fugue. However, he didn't have time to dodge and was hit. He fell to the ground, but managed to get up again, weakened.
"You're the persistent one," Shane said, cackling with laughter. He shot another Shadow Ball at the weakened Murkrow.
"You're getting way too much enjoyment out of me getting hurt," frowned Fugue, flying above the attack. "Steel Wing!"
He charged at Shane and slashed at him with a glowing wing.
The Steel Wing attack hit its target... unfortunately, it was only a substitute, and the real Shane was nowhere in sight.
"Huh?!" said Shane. He looked around and saw nothing. "Well, hopefully, he's not here anymore."
((Was Katore a substitute too?))
((Nope.))
Katore was gone as well. Shane stood behind a tree, breathing heavily. The unconcious Ninetails was right beside him. That was close... I need to improve, myself.
"Ugh," muttered Fugue, his wounds seemingly intensifying in pain. "Might as well get some rest before the concert. No use in being all banged up when things go wrong."
((Wait, is Alakazam still there?))
((Yeah... I'm now wondering why I didn't make him do anything...))
Alakazam had teleported right after his attack, so he was en route to the Mahkuhita Dojo.
((Much better! ;D))

Fugue walked away from... wherever all this was happening, and flew to the rescue team base.
((Well, wherever he lives. JNeed doesn't seem to come on as often.))
Gyatsu had now gotten some supplies from the base, and was now heading towards the Makuhita Dojo.
"It looks like it's been about twenty-five of thirty minutes..." Gyatsu said silently to himself.
Ryaku was already waiting at the Dojo.
"All right..." Gyatsu said as he stopped in front of Ryaku. "Well, this is going to be interesting, right?"
Fugue had fallen asleep for what felt like hours, but was actually only a few minutes. As he woke up, he noticed blood seeping from a wound in his side. He had somehow not noticed it before. Ignoring it, he quickly got up and slowly walked to the Makuhita Dojo to see if the Riolu had progressed at all.
Alakazam telported in front of Gyatsu and Ryaku. "Sorry about the hold-up. It seems that Shane has found out about our plans. Are you still willing to undergo this transformation?"
Gyatsu nodded.
"Yes, I am." Gyatsu said as he set down some of the things he had brought. "And even though Shane may have figured out the plan, I think there's still a chance..."
((Sorry about my lack of posting. School has been unforgiving.))
Alakazam nodded, and opened the doors of the dojo. "Yes, there is still a chance. But you have a lot to learn." He entered the dojo, and waited for the others to follow.
Mori and Rakuro waited outside. "We'll keep watch out here," Mori stated. "Good luck, guys."
"You will first hone your skills by going through the three floors of the metal room," Alakazam began. "Use the aura inside you to guide you. I'll be waiting for you at the final floor." With that, he disappeared.
((I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow afternoon, so I won't be back for at least two days. So, try to get to the final floor with Ryaku by the time I get back. If you don't, then it's still ok. Good luck!))
"All right.. Let's go." Gyatsu said as he walked towards the doors of the dojo. He pushed them open and turned to Ryaku. "Ready?"
Ryaku adjusted his goggles and nodded.
Gyatsu then began to walk into the dojo. As he walked in, he saw that everything was metallic and lustrous.
"Guess they don't call it the metal room for nothing..." Gyatsu said as he went in a bit farther.
"Yeah...." Ryaku replied as he looked around. He'd be at a disadvantage here and he knew it. He had to keep his guard up.
"He's got the advantage here.... I don't.... I'll have to be more cautious than he will..." Ryaku thought as he looked at Gyatsu and then continued looking around warily.
Gyatsu kept his guard up as he looked around the metal room. He wasn't sure what he'd find in there.
"By the layout of this place, I'd say it's built exclusively for steel type Pokemon...." he said as he looked around, following Gyatsu. He was more cautious with every step as his claws clicked against the metal floor.
"That's what I was thinking... You'd best be careful here, since you're an ice-type..." Gyatsu mentioned to Ryaku. He formed an aura sphere to prepare for any Pokemon that might come out and attack.
"Yeah...." Ryaku replied. He had no moves that would be good against the foes he would face in here. He decided the best move he good use that would even affect the steels was his Night Slash. His claws began to glow with a purple-black aura as he kept looking around.
Gyatsu heard a "clang" and quickly turned in the direction of the sound, aiming his Aura Sphere. After a while of no responses, he calmed down a bit.
"I think something just fell..." Gyatsu said as he continued.
"I hope so...." Ryaku replied, looking around cautiously.
Gyatsu looked around the corner, and so far, he didn't see anything.
"Where are all the Pokemon?" Gyatsu asked in slight confusion.
A Beldum suddenly rushed at Gyatsu from behind, headed in a full on Tackle.
Gyatsu heard it and jumped as it flew at him. Going into a backflip, he aimed his Aura Sphere at the Beldum as it went underneath him and fired it.
The Beldum got hit dead on, and fell to the ground, unconcious. A few stairs appeared just ahead of the two members of Team Koorikaze.
Gyatsu landed on the ground a bit ahead of where he had jumped from. He looked at the stairs that had just appeared.
"Well, there's the stairs to the next floor... Let's head on up." Gyatsu said as he got back up on his two paws.
A Steelix suddenly came out from a hallway that connected to the room with the stairs. It saw Gyatsu and Ryaku, and went in front of them, blocking their way to the stairs.
"... Or we could stay here longer..." Gyatsu said as he looked at the large Steelix. He stod there, ready for it to come at them.
((and Nils will be here in a little while... Around 5:30 or 6.))

The Steelix made a large, screeching noise. This was obviously the move Screech.
((East coast. Same for him. =P))
Gyatsu quickly covered his ears with his paws, trying to keep out any of the sound. He knew that it would lower his defense immensely.
The Steelix then whipped its tail around and began trying to hit the two with it.
Jumped up, and as he came down, he grabbed onto the Steelix's tail and held on as it kept flying.
The Steelix then began to crash its tail into the walls of the room in an attempt to get the Riolu off its tail.
"Gah..." Gyatsu grunted as he held onto the Steelix's tail as hard as he could. He was trying to think of a plan.
The Steelix continued to thrash about.
((Sorry... I took longer than expected.... My sister took an hour and a half trying to pick between two bed sets.... T_T))
Ryaku clapped his claws together and unleashed an Ice Beam blast at the Steelix, knowing it doubled as a ground-type.
The Ice Beam attack hit the Steelix, and it lost its grip on Gyatsu. It was still concious, however.
Seeing that it had stopped a moment, Gyatsu got a chance and ran up the steel body of the Steelix. He jumped up, and as he was coming down, he formed an Aura Sphere in his paw and landed it right in between the Steelix's eyes.
The attack hit the Steelix head on, resulting in a critical hit. It fell unconcious soon afterwards.
((Yay, finally get to continue... XD))
Gyatsu jumped off the Steelix just as it was about to hit the ground and landed right next to Ryaku.
"Gah... Well, that wasn't as bad as I thought..." Gyatsu began. "Come on..."
Ryaku looked at the Steelix for a moment and turned to Gyatsu, "... Right..."
Gyatsu began to head up the stairs. As they made it up, they were greeted by even more of the same cold, gray steel.
"Sheesh... They could have at least made some of this metal tinted with color..." Gyatsu mentioned as he looked around.

Charcoal woke up and walked to the dojo to train. When he got there, he heard attacks and rushed inside the door/hole of the steel maze.
((According to the posts, Charcoal is awake, but whatever.))
Alakazam teleported to the room where Ryaku and Gyatsu were.
Charcoal saw the Riolu and Weavile with Alakazam .
" What happened?" he asked, panting.
((Uh... We already kind of beat the Steelix... XD))
Gyatsu slightly jumped at Alakazam's sudden appearance.
"Oh... Alakazam." Gyatsu began.
"You've reached the final floor of the maze," Alakazam said. "You must now face the floor's leader."
Gyatsu got a confused look on his face and looked at Ryaku for a moment before looking back at Alakazam.
"And... Who would that be?" Gyatsu asked with a tone that matched the look on his face.
Ryaku remained silent.
Alakazam took out two spoons, one in each hand. "Me."
Gyatsu stepped back a bit in shock.
"Wha... Him?! Oh, man..." Gyatsu thought to himself. "I'm a fighting type, I'm at a disadvantage to him!"
"I won't go easy on you," Alakazam said. "This will determine whether or not you will be able to evolve."
"Gah... All right then." Gyatsu said as he began to take stance. "I'm ready."
He still wasn't quite sure, but he had to do this.
Charcoal finally caught up and over heard the conversation.
" Can I battle too?" he asked.
"Gyatsu.... I'll protect you from his psychic attacks... He can't hurt me with them..." Ryaku told him as he looked at Alakazam.
Alakazam took his fighting stance. "Get ready."
Gyatsu nodded towards Ryaku.
"All right..." Gyatsu began to think. "He's a psychic type... I can't use any of my fighting type moves because they're not good against psychic... I guess if I use Quick Attack and Slam, then I might have a chance..."
((I suppose I should give you guys a heads up on Alakazam's moveset: Psychic, Teleport, Shock Wave, Focus Blast.))
Alakazam put his spoons together, and a current of electricity flew from them, headed straight for Gyatsu and Ryaku.
